    1) For HP computers they have a default version of the BIOS UEFI diagnostics.
This version performs two tests: HD and Memory
To perform extensive testing there is a version which can be downloaded and installed on the computer.
Then when opening the BIOS with F2 you can run the extensive, loop until failure, and component test.
If you had not downloaded and installed the HP UEFI diagnostics they can be installed on a flash drive.

Then the computer can be powered on and repetitively clicking the F9 key typically opens the BIOS boot menu on notebooks. The select the external USB HD.
For other computer models for the keyboard keys see:

    2) Open the HP website > support and drivers > HP Software and Driver Downloads for HP Printers, Laptops, Desktops and More | HP® Customer Support > enter the product or serial number > select the operating system > view drivers > post a URL or hyperlink into the thread

    3) Was the computer in RAID?
    4) Were any settings in the BIOS modified?
    5) What had happened with the computer to have problems?
    6) How old is the computer and were any parts replaced or tested?
    7) Update the specs in the "My Computer" section:
