Strange Explorer problem
I am getting a weird explorer issue. When I attempt to open a folder on my SSD, I get an hourglass and it takes like 10 second to open a folder if I double-click on it. If typed in the path in explorer's path, it opens without a lack. I feel that clicking on anything in explorer triggers the lag. I have tried the following:
1. Clear Explorer File Cache.
2. Disconnected network drives.
3. Remove Quick access.
4. Changer folder optimization to just general for all
5. Removed Onedrive. There are no other drive software like google drive.
6. Go through environment variables like path and verify that no network drive exists and all paths are valid.
7. Nothing shows up in the event log.
8. According to WMIC, the Smart status of the drive a Micron 2300 NVME is OK.
I do notice that when I click on an explorer item, there is no increase cpu, memory or disk activity but there is an increase in network activity. Frankly, I am stump at what could be at fault. I find it weird that open the folder by clicking on it is slow, but typing out the path is not.
Note that the computer isn't underpower. It's an i7 with 32 gb of memory.
