Can't boot, failed startup repair and usual
Hello,
Please let me know if this is not the right place to post this.
I've been having a lot of WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR BSOD lately.
At a certain point, trying to debug it, I've had one of them during start up. After that, I've had some CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED BSODs and Win10 won't boot.
From now on, Win10 just won't boot, but fails and turns off right after the Huawei logo disappears.
I've tried Troubleshoot -> Advanced Options -> Startup repair, it returns Startup Repair couldn't repair your PC.
I've tried Uninstall Updates -> Uninstall latest quality update, it returns We ran into a problem and won't be able to uninstall the latest quality update of Windows.
I've tried Uninstall Updates -> Uninstall latest feature update, to the same result.
Also tried Startup Settings -> Enable Safe Mode, it just won't boot and turns off.
Tried Command prompt -> SFC /Scannow, it reaches 100% and returns Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.
DISM says DISM does not support servicing Windows PE with the /Online option. Also tried it from a USB boot, to the same result.
Also, from the USB boot, I can see the directory structures, but I can't reach my files. DIR won't show files even in Windows directory, or Users. Is it because of encryption?
I would very much like to boot without reinstalling Windows, because of some open sessions in the browser.
Can you please advise? Is there anything else I can do? Maybe replace startup files manually?
