PC stuck on splash screen for 32 seconds!

I have a HP 8300 running Windows 10 (with 16 GB RAM) on which I replaced the HDD with a SSD recently. However, on bootup, the HP splash screen stays on the screen for 32 seconds after which the rest of the actions go much faster than my previous HDD. Any suggestions?

Is this what is causing the major delay of 32 seconds?
    What Is P.O.S.T.
Regardless of the type of equipment attached the diagnostic has to be run or Windows [or other Operating System] won't know what is available and how it is to be used.

See if clean boot and / or safe mode make a difference:

Hi Musicollector, did this splash screen display always behave this way even with the old HDD?

Check this tutorial that I used after upgrading my OS drive with an SSD.

Enable or Disable Startup Delay in Windows 10

You may want to reduce the delay gradually from 30 seconds in 5 or 10 second increments, 0 delay may be too fast depending on the cpu speed (and # of cores).

Thanks for all your quick responses and posts. Yes, POST was the one that was taking this long. My concern was that it was not taking this long even with the HDD. I had already tried Safe mode.

However, for some reason when I restored from an image backup, it is lighting fast now! I am saving your responses, especially the registry tweak that W10 Tweaker suggested, in case this happens again. Thanks, all.

You're most welcome. Glad to hear your PC is behaving well again. Cheers
