HP 15 notebook PC windows completely crashes after fresh install.

I recently reinstalled windows on my laptop due to it completely crashing and forcing a disk repartition. So after I reinstalled windows and was getting things working, the same exact thing happened, computer slowed to a halt, forcing a restart, and not being able to go past the recovery screen even in the recovery environment. Could this be a worm embedded into some chip in my mobo or what? I had Malwarebytes premium installed on both installs.

Hi, it would be wise to perform some basic checks on this older laptop.

Boot your laptop from a boot disk created using Kyhi's iso, available from the top of the Software and Apps section.
Run HD Tune from that to check your disk - Health and Error Scan tabs.

Each test used to evaluate the performance of hardware may have a different algorithm.
Or the test may test different parameters.

Many HP computers come with preinstalled BIOS UEFI hardware diagnostics.
The default edition typically checks drive and RAM.
If the firmware had been upgraded it may also test: CPU, GPU, motherboard, etc.

Please perform these tests in addition to those already recommended by Dalchina.

Power on the computer and repetitively click the F2 key.
Open the HP BIOS UEFI diagnostics.
Perform whatever tests you find available.
The latest version should have extensive and loop until failure testing.
After the testing has completed use a camera or smartphone camera to take a picture and post an image into the thread.
