CPU Over Clock Error Windows 10 version 1909

    Hi,

I have been trying to use my other pc (Desktop Mini tower) that has Windows 10 build 1909 yesterday and a screen popped up with CPU Over Clock Error Press F1 to enter setup.

I hit F1 key, and cursor disappears and only a black screen shown.

I had switched the pc off and restart, all went ok then another screen appears saying checking for errors, then fixing errors, beauty I thought, then next screen pops up with one long beep and 4 short beeps then screen says again CPU Over Voltage Error.

I don't know why this has occurred and don't know how to resolve this problem.

The Asus Motherboard I have is old and bios is no longer supported due to its' age. It has the latest bios at that time when it was supported.

Any assistance on how I can fix this issue would be grateful.

    Thanks

Have you try reset your BIOS setting back default and try boot up?

To get the specifics I'll have to find the Asus Book that came with the motherboard, at this point in time it cannot be found. CPU in Intel Quadcore socket 1155 (I think). Ram 16Gb. I've never overclocked the CPU from the get go. I've had the last build of Windows 10 v 1904 or whatever it was prior to Build 1909. Never had any issues with build 1909 until after the updates. Working good as gold prior.

How old is your Power PSU supply? or CMOS battery?

I would take the side off the case and check the CPU fan spins when turned on and continues to spin. It could be CPU fan is blocked or dead and the BIOS message is misleading. It is quite a while since you had to manually set CPU details in BIOS, most BIOS read the correct settings from the CPU.
It may be a voltage or BCLK error but worth checking fan first.
