Clean Boot to Find 1Gbps Speed

    Hello,
I recently signed up for a 1Gbps service but was only able to receive 500+/-Mbps from my pc and only 100Mbps on my laptop. I performed a clean boot for the pc and narrowed down that problem but my laptop is only getting 100Mbps. I have an HP ZBook Fury 17 G7 Workstation laptop with an Intel Core i7 10750H CPU @ 2.6GHz, 128 GB RAM, running Win 11 Pro 22H2. wireless hardware is Intel wi-fi 6 ax201. I ran a clean boot and after process of elimination, i came up empty, so now I am trying to figure out why my laptop gets such slow speeds. The xFinity gateway supports the speed and my pc is now getting over 900Mbps D/L speed. I have gotten up to 500Mbps at times. Through some help here on the forums, I was asked to show the data for my wifi card..See attachedClean Boot to Find 1Gbps Speed-picture1.pngClean Boot to Find 1Gbps Speed-picture2.png. Hopefully someone can help like they did with my pc.
    Thanks!

How far away from router are you on 5g or 4g what settings are on routers wireless it may drop back to n if there wrong next you need to check what channel your on if it's crowded it can kill WiFi go on ms store search for network analysis or wireless analysis they have free apps which will show signal strength and suggest best one

Clean Boot to Find 1Gbps Speed

    Hi Samuria,
The laptop is 3' away from the xFinity Gateway (see attached data sheet for gateway) Clean Boot to Find 1Gbps Speed-network-analysis.png

I ran a test with the analyzer you suggested:

Due to overhead you will not see 1Gbs, you will see up to 978mbps on Ethernet, 970 mbps max on wifi, lucky to see 864mbps. These are all approx numbers due to every system and ISP are different. You can adjust latge packet offload and other wifi adapter settings to see if that works. Otherwise you are not going to get much more since the Internet speedtests are not a true number of what your ISP is able to give you in a idea world.

Actually not. The info does mot give the whole picture. As for speeds, do not place much effort in trusting speed test results.

Clean Boot to Find 1Gbps Speed

From what I remember, that was all the info that came up...is there another command that I can use to obtain additional information? As far as the speed results, I am paying for 1 Gbps service but can only get 100Mbps. I was able to identify a problem with my pc using the clean boot method and process of elimination...but I didn't have as much luck with the laptop...no matter what service I hid or shut off, I still had terrible D/L speed. One thing that I noted, was that my antivirus program kept checking the box on after I turned it off to do the restart...not sure if my antivirus could be slowing it down??

run netsh wlan show all again. If only seeing 20MHz Channel bandwidth, that means you adapter is not properly set up in its properties. Even with a clean boot, the system would run properly.
