Win10 laptop does not see computers on LAN, but WAN & Internet is OK

I have an Asus X53 laptop that I upgraded to Win10 early in the year - fresh install. Everything was OK for quite a while until MS downloaded some Win10 updates. Now the laptop is OK on the internet and accesses anything on the WAN. However, it will not access the LAN. None of my other computers show up in Network and I can't map drives. I cannot ping to or from the laptop to the LAN, but I can ping sites on the WAN just fine. I have tried everything I could find on the wb, including uninstalling the NIC and reinstalling it with the latest Qualcomm drivers - all to no avail. The attachment shows everything I've tried. Any ideas?

    New Development

    Thanks Samuria.
All the computers are in the same workgroup and all have the same user name and password set. Here are screen photos of ipconfig. AL2 is my main desktop machine (Win7) & it is OK. AL4 is the offending laptop.

Hi Samuria. Here is a screen shot of AL4 with IPv6 disabled. No difference in network response.

A new development. I tried Safe Mode with Networking and the connections to LAN work. I can see and access the shares on all of the other computers in Network Neighborhood and I can ping normally.
Next question: What driver/software could be interfering in normal mode? How do I start to find this?

Problem solved. Thank you for your help, Samuria. I tried Win 10 Safe Mode with Networking - should have tried that first (Kick myself) - and the problem did not occur. So I used msconfig and trial & error with likely culprits to finally find that nordvpn-service was the culprit.
I think the problem started when MS pushed the 1909 update on us and with 2004 it still hadn't gone away. Really strange thing is that the problem is only on this one computer. My other 3 machines are also on the same version of Win 10 and they are all running the nordvpn-service (same version) with no issue!

Post Script: When I reported my problem to NordVPN, they told me they had a feature (switch) that makes the computer invisible on the LAN. I checked and "yes", it had somehow been activated - I certainly did not do it deliberately. I didn't even know about the feature. I'll post a separate note about this in the Forum.
