In Your BIOS > Set the NVME SSD as the First Boot Device
Thanks for the hint, the "trick" was to select the NVME SSD in "UEFI Hard Disk Drive BBS Priorities" first. Then the it was visible and selectable under "Boot Option" or "Bootable UEFI Harddisk" in the EZ-view

no everything works (without the old ssd)

    Thx!

I've recently tried to dual boot win 10 with fedora 30, after installing fedora it seems like my boot partition was deleted. Right now I cannot boot into anything. I was happy to come across this thread, I followed all the steps and at the end I get the message that boot files were copied successfully after running this command "X:\windows /s S:" in my case it's "D:\Windows..."
And when I restart it still doesn't boot into windows and asks me to choose a boot device. I did set my SSD as the boot device after restarting though. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Did you select the harddisk listed as "UEFI Bootable Harddisk"? In my Bios both options were available and I had to choose the UEFI Disk. In order to do that, first I had to go to "UEFI Hard Disk Drive BBS Priorities". This menu shows a list of all available UEFI Bootable Harddisks, in my case I had to move the "right" disk to the top of the list. After that it was available as "UEFI Bootlable Harddisk" in the "Boot from disk" section in the bios.

I have "UEFI Only" boot enabled in my BIOS, and there's only one nVME to select. Not sure If I'm missing anything.
When I list partitions from diskpart, I have a partition that is 260 MB and labelled "System". Not sure if that's the old boot partition or if it's causing any issues.
After doing the steps when I go back and list volume, the volume that I assigned the letter "s" to appears with no "Ltr" or "Label"
I cannot take screen shots as I didn't get into windows and just doing all that from the bootable media.

Couldn't edit my post so I'll just put the update here. After assigning a letter "B" to the partition that has 260 MB and cd into it I found that it has an "EFI" and "BOOT" directories, while the one I created "S" only has an "EFI" directory. The contents of the EFI directories for both seem to be identical.

Following the instructions given by Kyhi on the first page, everything went smoothly until typing the command "bcdboot C:\windows /s S:". I am getting "Failure when initializing library system volume". Any advice on how to fix this?

    Hello,
Sorry to write again on this "dead" topic but i have a tint issue.

I have done almost all steps but the infamous bcdboot C:\windows /s S not working for me.
But it's not show that the copy has fail. When i type this line i have bunch of exemple to use Bcdboot and nothing else.

I have the correct letter for my partition. But it's not working.

Can anyone here can help me please ?

Please forgive my very bad English.

Did you put the colon after S? It should be:
    Code:
    bcdboot C:\Windows /S S:

    Hello ,
    thanks for your answer.
And yes i have put the colon. I have done everything how is described in page 1. All the steps was flawless except the last with Bootcmd.

But i have another question: can i leave the EFI partition on my other SSD like this ? Does this lengthen the boot time of my computer ? Because actually i can boot to Windows.

You may need the firmware switch:
    Code:
    bcdboot C:\Windows /s S: /f UEFI
And having the EFI System Partition on a separate SSD will not affect anything.
