    factory reset


    hi all

    i have a lenovo yogav c740
    my windows version is 10

    i have tried to hard reset it through the reset options on windows. but unfortunatly it got stuck
    i have tried through cmd to repair the operation system but it didnt help
    i have treid to use restore and diagnose any problem but it didnt help either
    i have tried to create a recovery bootable disk (efi) but now the computer wont even start with it and it wont let me reset the computer

    so basically im stuck

    what to do??

    I suspect that option borked the installation, and so no other options can correct a corrupted system.

    Got data on it you want? Create a Linux distro boot USB (Mint is good), and boot into that to recover your data to an external storage source

    Download and create a Win 10 install boot USB and re-install. Make sure you delete EVERY partition, possible just before the copying of installation files starts.

    The thread title is "factory reset", which cannot be achieved by installing Windows downloaded from Microsoft.
    If the OP deletes every partition, the factory recovery partition will also be deleted.

    Did you try "Novo button"?

    from Lenovo site

    When the PC is completely turned off, press the Novo Button on your Laptop. Novo button is a small circular button usually near the power button or on the left side of the laptop. The system will power on to display the Novo Button Menu
