my computer keeps restarting at random toimes.i have ran a check on my cpu,graphics card,etc,and everything is fine.i was running windows 10 but had to revert back to 8.1 pro.i downloaded the media creation tool bit it always fails.it says this tool cant run on your pc.it dis manage to work once but during the installation my pc restarted itself.i have been trying to fix this for two days now.help!

Are you overclocking?
Have you checked your disk and RAM? How?
Check your Reliability History. Any clues there?
Boot to Safe Mode. Does your PC still restart?
Are there any clues in your event log?

Do you have a disk image of your working Win 10 before the problems occurred? Time and again, disk imaging, routinely and regularly, is recommended so you can quickly and easily get back to a previous good state without help.
E.g. Macrium Reflect (free) + large enough external storage.
More: get a live boot disk (Google) and boot your PC from that. Does it still crash?
Is it overheating?

How old is your desktop?
Did you open the case side panel to see if the heat sink is dust free?
Make a Kyhi boot able recovery tools. Boot from it and run chkdsk X: /f (replace X with the windows partition letter)
If the computer is running Windows 10 then run V2.
If the computer is running Windows 8.1 then run DM.
