    Reinstall W10 on same PC

    Hello All,
Am unsure whether I can do this.
A while back I was given a laptop with W 8.1 Home installed.
I took advantage of the MS upgrade option and installed W10. All activated with a new legit key assigned by MS.
Strange as it must seem, sometime later I 'cleaned' the PC and installed Ubuntu !
I have now seen the light and want to again install W10 using MCT.
Will I be able to activate using the legit key that was assigned previously given that I am installing on the same PC ?
    Thanks,
    MWombat

You can clean install Win 10 and it should be activated automatically as your registration is held on MS's activation servers.

    No key needed.

Tutorials available to help with activation if needed... in the Tutorial section.
All builds are freely downloadable - see relevant tutorial if you want an older iso file.

Note the current build (2004) causes some users difficulty- it's a bit of a work in progress. See 'Known and resolved issues' for 2004 in the News section - near the top.

    Win 10 Pro 64-bit v1909 - Build 18363 Custom ISO Install

    Hello @MWombat,

As @dalchina has stated you can re-install Win 10.

Here are some tutorials that might help . . .

Download Windows 10 ISO File <= Option 5.
    Clean Install Windows 10
    Activate Windows 10

I would suggest that you download v1909 for the reasons stated above.

    I hope this helps!

If you download the iso file using the Media Creation Tool (MCT) the sources\install.esd is a high compressed file (smaller than 4G) and you can use on a Fat32 drive to boot as UEFI.
If you download from TechBench or via "Windows ISO Downloader" tool by HeiDoc.net the sources\install.wim is bigger than 4G and you can't use on a Fat32 drive to boot as UEFI.
The solution is to split the sources\install.wim into smaller install.swm files so you can use on a Fat32 drive to boot as UEFI.
See this post Clean install in UEFI mode
