Having an issue with fresh installing Win10 from USB (refuses to work)

Hey there, I'm attempting to do a clean install of Windows 10 Home on an HP 64 laptop from a USB, I've used this same USB for a clean install on two other computers (within the last 3 days) without any issue. I've attempted all the ways to prompt the install that I know how (bios, HPs default reset function, and the default windows function), none of which has worked.

When the "boot from USB" option is selected, the screen goes black then displays the HP logo as on startup (once it showed the dots in a circle loading icon) and then nothing happens, it just stays stuck on that until I manually turn the laptop off. I let it run on that screen for 5+ hours yesterday, there was literally no change at all, I turned it off before I went to bed and when I woke up and turned it back on it started making repairs of some kind to drive windows is installed on.

Yes I know manually turning it off while it's trying to boot like that is a terrible idea, I'm currently doing the standard windows factory reset on it and once that is done I hope I'll have some help from here, then I guess I'll try it again.

How did you create the USB you are using to install from? Looks like your HP laptop has UEFI support so the USB flash drive has to be setup for that.
Is the hard drive MBR or GPT? Use diskpart to check this:

The best way to create a flash drive that will work in all cases is to use the Media Creation Tool and let it make the flash drive for you.

Create Windows 10 installation media

Boot that and you should be okay.

Sorry I should have stated that, I used the Media Creation Tool to create the USB, I'm currently in the process of the default windows 10 factory reset , so I'll have to check the hard drive when that resolves itself as I don't think interrupting it is a good idea considering the issues.

I'm attempting again, formatted and re installed windows on the USB with Media Creation Tool, if it doesn't work this time I'll try Rufus (though from what I understand that shouldn't have an effect on it). The Hard drives are both GPT.

So I used the default factory reset, after that finished I disabled SECURE BOOT in the BIOS, and then booted from the USB (Media Creation Tool was used again to see if SECURE BOOT was the issue). It's been stuck displaying the HP logo for I think almost 2 hours now. Should I wait or try something else, if it makes any difference the hard drives are GPT.

edit: I'm not sure if this is important, but after the factory reset while doing the windows setup OOBE failed at several steps (the first two I believe)

Disconnect everything except the drive you are installing to, a mouse, keyboard and display. No other external devices, no other internal or external hard drives.
Uninstall any anti-virus other than Windows Defender.

Fill out as much as you can, especially the Manufacture and full model number of the computer if purchased or the system board if custom built, GPU, PSU, RAM and as much other info as you can provide.

When you do the Clean Install, are you deleting all partitions on the drive so it's an empty, unallocated drive?

Windows can be installed as Legacy-MBR or UEFI-GPT.
To install as Legacy-MBR you must boot the installation drive as Legacy.
To install as UEFI-GPT you must boot the installation drive as UEFI.

Is the current installation Legacy-MBR or UEFI-GPT?
Open Disk Manager. On top menu - View - Top - List disk

The installation is UEFI-GPT, I have attempted both UEFI and Legacy boot both have had the same result (HP logo for hours)

It's a HP laptop (all the details of which have already been posted above), the only things connected to it are the power cable, and the USB I'm trying to boot from. I has been factory reset by the default windows option so there is no software that isn't default.

What OS you have now on the laptop?
Did you set secure boot to disable on BIOS?
Did you boot the installation drive as UEFI?
What win 10 installation version you have on the USB drive? How did you built the USB drive? Did you use Rufus?

You may have a disk failure.
Run a disk check (chkdsk c: /scan)

I have disabled SECURE boot then UEFI boot, and also disabled SECURE and enabled LEGACY and booted legacy. Neither worked. The Laptop is Windows 10 Home, I am attempting a Windows 10 Home installation. Microsoft Media Creation Tool was used for the prior attempts. I'm currently making the USB with Rufus to see if there is a difference.

Disk check reports no failures.

The USB drive must be created properly. Use option 1 or 4 on the tutorial.
Don't use Rufus. It may create a big partition mess.

That's what I was using before, it didn't work on this PC. As stated I did use it on two prior machines.
