Red icon for word files?

    Can you go to that same folder, with those files from your first post, in File Explorer and replicate a screenshot like in my example, including the “Type” detail? Remember, you can use the Paint app to edit out the names of the files. I just want to see the extensions at the end of the filenames, and what “Type” says.
    Seeing a screenshot would be helpful for many other people that could help out.


    Ignore above. I posted at the same time you did when you said you solved the issue. Also, I was looking at my phone on this website, and didn't see the picture you posted earlier, regarding what I wrote above. Sorry about that.

    If you wanted, we could explore what really the "DOC file" association, like you said earlier, really is.

    I avoided mentioning that method because it's possible to make a right hash of things. It's more difficult to mess things up in the method I suggested but it is no better technically.
