Can't update and Windows is missing from the boot tab in MSconfig.

    Hi everyone!

I recently replaced a secondary SSD in my computer. I had boot issues because the old SSD had a recovery partition on it. I don't remember what I did unfortunately to fix all of that but I think I'm having issues because of that now.

I can't update windows and I think it's related because I also cannot see Windows the boot tab in msconfig.

Here's a screenshot of the partitions.

Is there a way to restore that? I'd like to know if it's causing the update issues.

    Thanks!

If the boot option is not under MSconfig, how are you booting?

It seems that your drive 0 is a Legacy - MBR type. Can you confirm?

Your disk 2 (fat boy) is set as active. Is it a boot able drive?

Find out what recover partition is active and what is trash.
Open a CMD window as administrator and type:
    reagentc /info

Good question... It's booting normally. I don't have to do anything special.

Drive 0 is GPT. That's where windows is installed.

Disk 2 is just a secondary drive where I install software and put documents.

    Here's the result for reagentc /info :

Your computer is a big mess.
You have two recovery partitions but none is active.

Where is the EFI FAT32 partition with the boot loader to boot Disk 0 (GPT)?

Was disk 0 a Legacy - MBR drive that you converted to GPT using a software?

Why is it set as RAID and not AHCI on BIOS?

Witch drive is set as the boot drive in BIOS? Is it the Fat Boy?

Is there any other drive other than the ones you posted on post #1 (drive 0, 1, 2, 3 & 4)?

What you have on drive 5 (H:) as it seems it is empty?

Do you have Intel Optane hardware installed?

I ejected that H: drive. I don't know what that was. It was greyed out in explorer.

    So :

    Disk 0 : C: (Windows)
Disk 1 & 2 : Internal drives for software and documents
Disk 3 : SSD for games
Disk 4 : External USB disk for daily backup.

I regularly connect another drive to copy my backup.

I don't have any Intel Optane hardware.

Remove drive 4 by unplugging the USB.
Shut down and disconnect (Power or SATA cable) Drive 1, 2 & 3, leaving on only drive 0 (Windows drive).

I would say that it won't boot. If it doesn't, plug in back drive 2 (Fat Boy) and it should boot.
