    Canadian living in NY. Started with Apple Basic in 1982, worked for 10 years at UBC setting up and managing Mac and PC computer labs and offices with Novell servers, and then worked 15 years at a major bank in NY writing WinBatch and VBScript code to handle PC builds, app deployments, patches, etc. Left the IT world behind in 2010 to be a stay at home Dad. Got my general contractor's license and fully renovated five homes so far. I'm between projects now, so I started writing some scripts to pass the time.

    Shameless plug: My oldest son in a Comp Sci graduate and is just as meticulous and thorough as his old man. If you use an Android phone and the Spotify app, check out his "Trimify" app on the Google Play Store. And he's currently looking for work, so if you have any leads... ;-)
