This build was kind of a freebie. We got those $1200 stimulus checks, and I didn't really need it for anything else, and my FX 8350 comp was already 7+ years old.
I still have it. it's just without a case and power supply right now.

I really like this case. It 100% aluminum, and the entire motherboard tray WITH everything on it...pulls out the back on rails. So then I just put it on a table and 15 mins to change builds.
Well you can game on no problems with it, just sayin.

There are tons of awesome games out there, who knows, you might find something you'll like.

I'm getting old an picky. Also getting too slow on the keyboard for most games. I think the newest game I had on my old comp was from 2003.

    Let's see...

I had the two original Doom games
    Sim City 2000
    Baldur's Gate 1 & 2
    Icewind Dale 1 & 2
    and Microsoft Links 2003 (golf)

I also went through three different builds, playing Diablo II. Like for 14 years.
I almost forgot... probably my favorite game was: Planescape Torment

I like the older games. No DLC, no microtransactions, etc.

If you like DOOM then definetly check out DOOM 2016 (reboot of the series) and DOOM Eternal 2020. They are both fantastic games and play exactly like the older DOOM games, just with better graphics.

DOOM 2016 is pretty cheap, you can find anywhere for like 10 bucks.

By the way, if you like RPGs then check out : Dragon Age Inquisition. It's a fantastic game (not Diablo style) that let's you control a party of 4 members and you can choose between classes (warrior, mage, rogue) in party. It also has great graphics and cool story.

Dragon Age Inquisition is also really cheap and you can find it for like 5-6 bucks.

Anyway both games will offer you tons of hours of fun.

The new games, just aren't the same. These days if a game has 80 hours of game play it's considered huge. The old Bioware games like Baldur's and Icewind and Planescape... they were like 800 hours of game play.

Better writing, better code, etc. As for the graphics, yeah, the new games are nice, but I was raised on 13" black and white low def TV. I didn't even know the original Star Trek was in color till I was out of High School and in the service.

/edit I still remember being ecstatic when computer screens first got 8 colors.

/edit2 How about this gem. the map from the original Zelda.

Dragon Age Inquisition is actually made by Bioware.

It plays like Baldur's Gate with the exception that in Dragon Age series you have a 3rd person camera view instead of top-down Diablo style. But it is one of Bioware's coolest games.

    Check out this video.

Looks like the 2004 time to install has been satisfied.

Well i was curious about Ghot's system and if he likes gaming, i recommended a few awesome games.

I know though the older games he mentioned, they're all good games, but i figured mentioning Dragon Age can't hurt since it's made by Bioware which is an awesome studio and the original devs of Baldur's Gate.

That's a good discussion, but probably better had over here https://www.tenforums.com/gaming/. Looks like you're already pretty active there. You can mark this General Support "solved", and continue the conversation in Gaming.

    Just a thought.
