#111
I just joined and went to the introduction thread to say hello... but i couldn't find where to start typing?!! I found everybody else's hellos (about 1950 of them!) and the opportunity to make a comment on any or all of them, but I was unable to find a way to introduce myself as a new member. so... this isn't really a reply to your post, but rather a request for guidance to the place I need to be to say hello for the first time! please help me, BarstowDuck.
AND now that I've pushed the "go" button, I see I have created a post! however, things are NOT clear. I couldn't find a place to introduce myself so I chose to comment on another's post and now that I'm HERE I don't see any sign of the post I chose to comment on!
Am I, in fact, where I should be to make my intro? Cause it's sketchy how I got here and I feel I still need a little help. Any comments will be greeted with a smile. even ones that might poke fun a bit.

Howdy all, I am BarstowDuck. I began as BridgeportDuck in Connecticut during the 1950s. I migrated to California in the 60s, where I GardenaDucked thru 8th grade, then FountainValleyDucked thru high school, U.S.NavyDucked for 4 years (San Diego, Hawaii, P.I., Japan, Tonkin Gulf, New Jersey, Norfolk, Mexico, Guam), then 16 yrs or so as CaltransDuck. Retired for over three yrs now, I am BarstowDuck, Married for more than 20 yrs, older than the hills, takin' each day as it comes almost care free.
I joined this forum in hopes of finding a solution to a bluetooth issue I'm experiencing with windows 10. (you can read about it as soon as I figure out how to get to where I need to be to discuss it!)
And I'm glad to be here even if you haven't already got the answer for which I came... time for a nap now. G'day.
If in doubt start a new thread in the General Support section. If necessary the mods will move it.
Currently employed with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) HQ at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. I've been at this job since 2011 (started out as a contractor, converted to civilian in October of 2018). Before that I was a contractor at the Office of National Drug Control Policy (commonly referred to as "The Drug Czar's" office) from 1996 to 2011. All this time, and for 10 years prior to that I have been a customer support specialist. I enjoy troubleshooting, whether it's end user problems, network issues, or general software and hardware support. I have scratch built a number of PCs for myself and others. I use my own computer for many different things, but currently I am trying my hand at 3D design and printing.
