Super Annoying Accidental Restart Issue

Ever since I got win 10 the computer sometimes goes into a super-turbo let's restart mode just when I try to type something in the search box near the start menu/button. Today it did it so fast I had hardly time to blink before it had restarted. Sometimes it gives me at least 3 seconds to cancel the restart before it does it. But this is driving me nuts. I'm just trying to search stuff and it does this idiotic thing. Why is this and how do I turn it off? This never happened on my older versions of windows, so this is obviously some new garbage they've put in there to make life more miserable.

I suppose there must be some idiotic shortkey they have put in there somewhere when i hover the mouse or something and maybe press R by accident? I don't know, but this has happened when I start typing with other letters as well. Incredibly annoying... anyone have any idea how to solve this? If there's some shortkey I can turn off or something?

Check that the option to "Show a notification when your PC requires a restart to finish updating" is Selected
Could also set the active hours when a restart cannot be completed.

Quote "Set active hours to let us know when you typically use this device. We won't automatically restart it during active hours and we won't restart without checking if you're using it."

Thank you for your reply, I tried your advice but I do not think this is the issue my computer is having. After checking the option you suggested I restarted my computer (deliberately) this time, and it went into it's usual faster-than-light restart mode; I'm talking 1-2 seconds and it was already done restarting. No opportunity to cancel it or any box popping up. I've never had a computer restarting this fast in my life, lol.

Update the specs in the "My Computer" section:

System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums | Tutorials
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)

Sorry, I might have been unclear, the 1-2 seconds thing is the "shutdown" phase of the restart, so it gives me no opportunity at all to cancel/abort it. But my computer is superfast in rebooting as well so it's back up again in like 15 seconds. My computer works perfectly in every other way and doesn't restart randomly or anything like that. It's just this random restart when it comes to me trying to use the windows search function, it's super weird. When I try to replicate it deliberately it doesn't happen of course. But when I'm actually trying to search for something, that's when it happens. Is it maybe that I hover the mouse icon over the start button and hits R accidentally when I try to type in the search button or something silly like that maybe? But even if that is I think it should give the usual pop up box that I've used to that gives me the opportunity to abort a restart. But I get nothing of the sort, let alone time to do anything

And yeah, exactly... And yep, The computer countdown for shutdowns.. that is completely gone... =(

Maybe it's a virus. Have you scanned your computer for viruses?
