    Diskpart Clean USB Problem

I recently created a bootable USB device for Windows 10 then did these steps I found on the web:
    • Plug in the flash drive.
    • At a command prompt run: diskpart
    • List disk (Enter)
    • Select disk (number of flash drive) (Press Enter)
    • Clean (It will wipe the drive completely, including partitions

Once done, I exited the cmd then proceeded to go into disk management and select on what I think is the usb drive I plugged in. I then proceeded to click New Simple Volume and go through it normally. I then realized that the partition I did was not my usb but something else, however there are no other external storage medias plugged in to my PC, only my usb and I know that I didn't select my internal hard drives. I say it's something else because I still can't access my USB it says to insert a disk drive on (drive letter). And I am free to unplug my usb and the extra drive would still be there. I think I bricked something, I'm asking for help with my situation. Any feedbacks are well appreciated, thanks!
EDIT: Forgot to mention, the size of my USB is 32gb and the partition I created was only 12gb without any files inside of it. I don't know what I was thinking.

It appears that your "USB" is actually the G partition on your internal hard drive, which also contains the C partition.

Rather than on a separate flash drive.

You say "then proceeded to go into disk management and select on what I think is the usb drive I plugged in".

Key word "think". Apparently you are wrong. You seem to have selected your primary internal drive and made the new partition on it, rather than on what you thought was a separate USB flash drive.

You may have cleaned the first partition which will be the original recovery partition created on clean install of Windows.
Then created a partition on the C drive as USB/G drive.
I would check under partition recovery to see what you removed.

It seems that this was the case, how do I go about resolving this? Thank you!

Partition recovery on the Minitools Wizard? It only shows my two drives, not the partition if that's what you mean. If not, do you have a tutorial or guide on this?

If there is nothing on the G partition that you care about (it may be totally empty), you should be able to delete it in Disk Management by right clicking it and choosing "delete volume". You could then add that space to C by right clicking C and choosing "expand volume" or words to that effect.

If you still have the USB flash drive you can of course do as you wish with it, taking more care to be sure to select it and not an internal drive.
