This is not a driver problem: Go to settings, additional mouse options - settings - advanced tab - and set your "filter activation" setting to zero. Apply and enjoy the lag free pointer!!
After trying everything suggested in this thread and others, I decided to replace my mouse. The troublesome mouse was a Logitech G7 wireless mouse. I think my problem was intermittent and related to the mouse wireless itself. I now have a Logitech G502 and no lag at all. It's wired USB. So for now my problem is solved.
Both the trackpad and optical mouse were lagging on a friend's laptop.
I was able to solve by going to Settings, Devices, Mouse and Touchpad, Additional mouse options
then click on the Pointer Options tab and unclick 'Enhance pointer precision' if it has been clicked.
Go to setting>devices>scroll to bottom>device manager>expand audio>right click realtek>disable>restart computer>right click muted speaker on toolbar>detect problems>enable realtek>restart computer. Enjoy.
:) Thanks guys. You saved my marriage! I gave my wife a Lenovo Flex 3 for her birthday. She wanted her old PC back right away due to the mouse lag/Realtek mess. I fixed the issue thanks to you. One question: There were a number of threads concerning re-naming the FMAPP.exe with new extensions. Why do I need to do that? So far, I have fixed the issue with removal of 4 Realtek programs in Task Manager>Processes, AND the "disable" of Realtek programs in Task Manager>Startup. Anyway, I cannot find FMAPP.exe now that I removed or disabled Realtek in the Task Manager. Thanks.
Hey guys, I've tried everything you guys suggested however the stuttering problem still occurs. I've tried to find and disable the Realtek audio in the startup but I couldn't find it. I also rename the FMAPP.exe to FMAPP.exe.old but it seems din really work well (this is not in the Task Manager either). Please help!!
Same issue.. but I don't have FMAPP.exe
What do i do :[
