    1) Do you have a Windows 1703 iso?

    Yes I do.

I have used it several times to get the USB hub working again (reinstall 1703 on top of 1703 - takes an hour or 2) but the hub usually dies again within a few days of doing a 1703 refresh.

Once I got the hub working again just by rebooting (although normally this does not work) but it died within a few days.

I have been living with the dead hub since posting this thread 6 months ago.

    1) When available please post an image of the virtual memory tab into the thread.

    2) For startup and recovery system failure:
    a) uncheck automatically restart
    b) change kernel memory dump to automatic memory dump
    c) reboot

It can be easy to miss bsod when automatically restart is checked.
When automatically restart is unchecked there should be a bsod window displaying a bugcheck and : (
Sometimes there may be a misbehaving driver displayed in the form *.sys.
If you see the start of a bsod it typically displays a % counter.
Allow the % counter to rise to 100% so that there is sufficient time for the dump file formation.

    3) Disconnect the computer from the internet (remove ethernet and use a mechanical wifi off if available)
    4) Perform an in place upgrade repair using the windows 1703 iso
    5) Make sure that you select to have no windows updates during the repair
    6) After the repair open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    7) sfc /scannow
    8) dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
    9) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    10) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

If the scannow and restorehealth options are fixed by the in place upgrade repair then make a new backup image.
Once there is a new backup image download and install onto the desktop the windows 10 1803 iso.
Then perform an in place upgrade repair using the widows 10 iso on the desktop.

Please make sure the following steps are performed before any of the in place upgrade repairs:
    a) remove all drives except the windows drive (no storage drives) (the only flash drive is the windows 10 iso or no flash drive when the iso is on the desktop)
    b) remove all antivirus software (always on and manual) except windows defender
    c) remove all non-Microsoft drive encryption software
    d) place the computer in clean boot:
