screensaver not showing done everything

nope still not showing up i'm not touching anything no keys nothing

i restated my computer and it worked strange it worked at minute will try for 5 mins see if it works

i did it for 5 minutes but then my screen went blank and i couldn't see the screensaver i have set time of power and sleep to never

Yeah... I don't know. I can't really think of anything else.








Do you have the Slideshow paused?

The only other things I can think of... is maybe there's a hardware problem with your mouse or keyboard, that's causing them to send a signal to the computer. Which it interprets as movement, so doesn't turn on the screensaver.

If you have them available, you could try a different mouse and keyboard, to see if it's a hardware issue.


Or... a software issue that's doing a similar thing... causing the computer to think the mouse is moving, or keys have been pressed.

For a software solution, you could try an In-Place upgrade. That will fix any Windows problems, but leave your programs and files untouched.

Here is the short version of the In-place upgrade tutorial...

DISABLE non-Microsoft:
a) antivirus software
b) firewall software
c) drive encryption software

Make a full OS backup with a program like Macrium Reflect (free)
Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free

Go here and get the Media Creation Tool and save it to your desktop.

RUN the Media Creation Tool and use it to: Create an ISO image... save IT to your desktop.
This will be the latest version of the ISO image.
The ISO must be created in the same language as you are using in Windows, to be able to keep your Programs and Files.




Right click the ISO image and choose: MOUNT
Open File Explorer and you will see a new drive letter. It will "look" like a DVD optical drive.
Double click the new drive letter to open it.
Find setup.exe and double click it to start the in-place upgrade.

Choose the Keep personal files and apps option.

After it's all done... to UNmount the ISO image, right click the new drive letter and choose: EJECT.


The ONLY thing you will lose is some of your personalizations. Your programs and data will be intact.

If you have a 3rd party mouse driver, you could try re-installing that.







There's not much else to checks... it has to be hardware or software or vibration of some kind.
If there's another setting somewhere that's involved... I don't know what it is.

Mine is set on Paused, and my screen saver works.

it's working now to see if will go to a black screen and monitor button starts flashing

working okay now no black screen just stays on screensaver yay

Yes. Screensaver should only show on Desktop.

i think he might have meant by desktop is with no windows open, if that is the meaning then no it will show even if you have windows open or app open after the set time.
