It didn't work. Am I wrong?

It adds "MediaInfo" in top of right click for all kind of file formats (that is not my problem).
I named the key "MediaInfo" (instead of "Open With MediaInfo"). The name and icon and position is exactly as you explained and your SS shows, but when I select this option, it just open the MediaInfo Lite but shows nothing (just shows media parent folder name and I have to browse file to show me the file information)...

If you like, you can check my SS. Just follow numbers order (it's my own main machine) ...

Just one question! I added an entry with "regsvr /mediainfo dll path/mediainfo.dll" and it added "MediaInfo Lite" entry to right click and it appears just by right click on "JPG"s file formats! It does not do any action.
Do you know how can I remove that useless entry (what reg keys regsvr command has modified?).

    Thanks for reply and time...

You need to search registry for mediainfo with wildcard search.

You should find something like this:

Integrate portable "MediaInfo Lite" in Win 10 context menu-registry-seek.jpg

Except that is for JPEGview open with context menu entry for .jpg files.

If you find the mediainfo entry - delete it and rename the other entries retaining alphabetical order.

You could try to un-register it: regsvr32 /u "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

If it's not a problem, great! Because if you had to manually create reg entries for numerous files types on every machine you visit with a thumb drive, that's a helluva lot of work!!!

One thing you could do is, export that reg key you created, keep a copy of it on that thumb drive, run it on each machine you visit but just modify the path data.

    Many thanks...
I think it is working! Because there's no such a entry (MediaInfo) in my right click for "JPG"s file formats.

Many many thanks for your time, my "Axiom of Choice" is now solved (the problem was colons)..

Just two another questions! That key was great ("Top"). I want to know is that possible to change the entry position in right click menu by a specific string?
My second question .. How can I do that (to force MediaInfo just appears on media files right click (I would try that on my own machine)

[I have assigned a specific letter to my USB flash drive (on all our machines its drive letter is "O:"]

All video and audio and image file formats (mp4, webm, m4v, mpg, dat, wmv, mkv, mov... mp3, wav, flac.. jpg, jpeg, png, gif...)

I am now realized I have to define a key for all those file formats in registry (?! ) Is that possible? (I had MediaInfo Lite installed with the help of K-Lite codec pack installation option, and it was exactly the same thing I had need, it appears on media files only that I mentioned above. It was on my "Win 10 v1803" with "K-Lite Codec Pack" installed on it, now I am on "Win 10 v1909" latest update and I have switched to VLC and its installation is not include MediaInfo).

Yup! That's a lot of work!!!

I suggest you download Download MediaInfo 19.09 Portable Windows 64-bit and use it. It does all this crap for you!

It works virtually the same as the other pack except it creates all those right click entries for you.
Upon first run, just check the appropriate options under Setup and following...
