I actually started with Mint18.3 Xfce.. then i went over to LMDE3-Xfce as i did not like Mint19 and after LMDE3 EOL i went over to Debian as LMDE has waaayyy to short lifecycle for my taste..
(I hate installing systems, so i just want to install and then forget about it as long as possible so to speak).
One of my mint machines I only update it once a year as I use it for data collection and to use it for my critter camera display. I have 7 inside cats and 2 feral outside cats they will not let me get close to them. and I am the same way if its not broken don't fix it.

I update my systems when needed depending on what the updates is and if the security fixes apples to my setup.
But reinstalling to newer version, i only do when it reaches EOL.. sadly it is a bit often according to me.. every 5years.

Reaction from another forum post, but i had nothing to contribute to that thread, so i react on it in here as it is Off Topic and non really useful information...
Seriously... is this windows attempt to Raid? Create a New Pool and Storage Space in Windows 10 (by the way Great Post Brink) 
I thought MS with the win-software " "raid" " that they had given it up with win7.... Yeah i did a double " " as MS deserves it.
