Nice to see you, Emma. :)
Nice to see you, Emma. :)
Nice to put a face to the name Emma, I bet you felt a real achievement when you got to the top.
You know, according to an old story on the 8th day God created whisky. She thought this was good. On the 9th day she realized the secrets of whisky cannot be left unguarded and created Scotland and Scotsmen to guard whisky. On the 10th day she noticed that already some of her subjects showed disrespect for her creation and manufactured a substitute they called bourbon.
She thought this was bad and on the 11th day sent those blasphemous people across the big pond to protect whisky.
To put it short, you can blame your blasphemous ancestors for living on the wrong side of the big bond. But, always try to find something positive even in the most disappointing things in your life; at least you are not living in Canada!

Thanks guys, I did feel good, any nature loving person would to be in this wonderful place. When we started down the switch back road in our bus you can see in the photo, there was a young boy dressed in traditional clothes and carried a bow and arrow who yelled good bye in several languages. When we got down to the road beneath, there he was there, yelling goodby again. This went on until we got to the last road and we thought we had lost him. Every one was going awww...but when we turned on to the bridge there he was. The bus driver let him on the bus, we all applauded him and tipped him generously. One woman and her daughter did not tip him. He probably earned a living for his family doing that. When we got to the town we stopped at a Pizzeria, a guide was urging out his boss to do something. He finally agreed, he got his guitar play and sang to us. Another man came in off the street and accompanied his with shells on his feet and something else can't remember what, maybe pan pipes. The unusual ending of this trip was the push pull train, it could not make it up one the grades, it slipped on the tracks. The guide stood up and said "Okay every one out, we have to push". Of course he was teasing, but they did have to get out and throw dirt on the track until the train started moving again.
Nice to see you Baroness. Treating yourself to a gumball? :)
