log file event.txt where do I get this again??
like I said before, disconnecting adapter/internet doesn't speed things up or solve anything
seems like every time I open settings updates, it's just ....checking for updates
1) Were you able to translate any of the last lines of the event log?
2) When you last reinstalled the operating system did you follow this link:
Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade Windows 10 Installation Upgrade Tutorials
3) Or did you use a different method?
4) Where you are able to open file explorer and see if you can find any of these files:
By default they may all hidden. To find hidden files in file explorer click on view and modify.
setuperr.log
setupact.log
Setupmem.dmp ($Windows.~bt\Sources\Rollback\setupmem.dmp)
setupapi.dev.log ($Windows.~bt\Sources\Rollback\setupapi\setupapi.dev.log)
BlueBox.log
$Windows.~bt\Sources\Rollback*.evtx
C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\Panther
C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\Rollback
I just posted a picture of where some of those files were supposed to be, right? I can't see any of those files on that PC.
I have the box checked to show hidden files/folders
2) When you last reinstalled the operating system did you follow this link:
Yes.
1) Were you able to translate any of the last lines of the event log?
no. I am not sure where I am supposed to be getting this log. I'm getting confused. The one that isn't in English? Generated from, Before posting a BSOD thread, please read the instructions here: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions ??
The zip log that you post has all of the logs.
You can click on them and view them.
Are you able to read the event.txt or are the characters not readable in Japanese?
If the characters are not readable can you change the default language back to Japanese?
The most important line for each event is the bottom line of the event.
If there is a problem with any bottom line then you will want to read the rest of the event.
Please download and install: everything or everything search
voidtools
It can be set to be used on boot or kept off on boot and used when you need it.
It will index everything on the internal and external drives.
When you type a character it will display results instantaneously.
The more characters you type the narrower the results.
With everything see if you can find any of the above logs.

This often freezes at Refreshing System Information : CD-Rom (like now....10 minutes now....)
After you use the DM to collect the logs it places a file on the desktop. You can open that anytime and view the logs.
When you view the event.txt part of the log that it just created on the desktop can you read it?
Are the characters in Japanese readable?
Or are they just non readable characters?
Please make sure you clarify whether the characters are readable or not in Japanese.
If the characters are not readable can you change windows back to Japanese as the default language so that you can then read a newly generated DM log file on the desktop.
This way you can read the file that you just created on your own computer in Japanese.
Is this possible?
