After you posted this, have you experienced this since?Just after posting that, I started getting shutdowns. No BSOD, just poof and the computer is restarting. The first restart it froze at the welcome screen, then after restarting again, it opened windows and ran for a few minutes, then shut down and restarted again.
Are the chipset drivers updated? If they are, try to reinstall them in case of possible corruption.
Keep me posted on the situation :)
Unfortunately freezes and shutdown crashes are for me more difficult to troubleshoot because they usually do not leave a lead to what could be a possible solution or cause, there are some basic troubleshooting methods to rule out a lot of stuff though.
Hi,
Just wanted to update you on what is happening. I kept getting the BSODs, random shut downs and freezing. I switched out my memory chips, and still getting the shut downs and freezes. I removed the video card and I am using the onboard video, but kept getting shut downs and freezing. Yesterday I removed the sound card and I am using the onboard sound. So far it has been over 24 hours and no shut downs or freezes.
