PC Probs.-Regular BSODS/Screen Freeze, etc ****V2 LOG - NOW ADDED****

Would appreciate any help of likely cause of recent problems that started with my Acer Aspire desktop M3910 which is a 2012 vintage. I've started getting occasional blue screen and the pc which I then have to press power button to turn off pc. Then I can usually turn pc back on and it will restart and continue to work. The reasons given for the blue screens are always different. Other times, I try to turn on and it seems to be going through start up, then the screen goes black and flashes. I have to turn off and try again later - when it will probably start and work normally until the next blue screen - which may not happen again that day or may happen in half an hour.

Yesterday I had a new symptom where the cursor on screen wouldn't respond to the mouse - in effect freezing the screen. Had to turn off and restart and it worked normally for a couple of hours. Sometimes I can use the pc for hours without problems, other times I can get a blue screen or other problem 20 mins after startup - it's quite random. Would appreciate any opinions as to what the likely cause(s) are, and if there's any way I can diagnose it myself. Thanks in advance.

UPDATE>>>>> Couple of hours ago the screen froze and wouldn't respond to mouse or anything. Turned off and tried to restart about 6 times, but each time I got the initial Acer logo appearing on the screen that appears immediately after turning on. Then the screen went black and flashed with a small white cursor near top left of screen. Wouldn't go any further than this. Left pc for an hour and pc started normally.

When were each of the RAM modules added?

The computer has mismatched RAM modules.

There are 3 different types of RAM.

Please remove:
M378B5673FH0-CH9
M378B2873FHS-CH9

(Windows 10 requires RAM minimum 2 GB while testing)

Thanks for your reply, zbook. The two CH9 RAM modules are the originals as the pc was originally 3 GB of DDR3. Approx 3 years ago the hard drive was changed from old type to new SSD and the two C8FP RAM modules were added at the same time to bring memory up to 7 GB. Is mismatched speeds a big issue?

Some additional info; a year ago I had identical problems and a friend diagnosed it as the pc's own graphics card (which is intergrated into mother board) had failed. He installed an Nvidia Geforce 210 graphics card which solved the problem. However, the card he installed wasn't new and judging by the noise from it's fan bearings is high mileage. Is this likely to be the problem again? (I have a new GPU that I haven't installed yet).

Not getting so many BSODs now. Main problem is screen freezing after a while and no mouse response from cursor. When I try to restart, I get the Acer logo on screen at very beginning of startup, then the screen goes black and flashes and won't go any further. Multiple restart attempts get the same result. If I leave the pc for a long time/hours it will start and run fine for a while before freezing again and not restarting.

Will try the other things you suggest, as long as my pc holds up.

Thanks for all your advice, zbook. Really appreciated. One question I have with the tests - mainly the Sea Tools test, as I think it's a long one - will my pc stay on for this? In other words, will it go into sleep mode and shut down? If yes, how do I stop the pc automatically shutting down?

Sea Tools long generic test and HD Tune full error scan can run simultaneously.

Sleep and shutdown were not reported problems.

If they occur please comment into this thread.

Apologies, I don't think I worded my question very well. You say that the tests you suggested can be run overnight - ie. with my pc unattended. Normally if I leave my pc unattended for approx 10 mins, it goes into sleep mode.

If I leave my pc overnight doing the long Sea Tools test, is there a danger my pc will go into sleep and pause/stop the test after 10 mins? Or will the test make the pc stay on whilst unattended and not go into sleep?

If the pc would go into sleep if left unattended while running the test, can I change a setting somewhere to force it to stay on?

In general, if the PC does not have an unexpected shutdown and restart the testing for each sea tools and HD Tune should complete.
