Ok, I did the 48 hours test: all normal, no crash at all...

verifier /querysettings

When running WDV plan to run the various tests over 48 hours.

Only the 3 customized tests ran.

Make a new restore point.

Restart WDV with these customized tests:


[ ] 0x00000001 Special pool.
[ ] 0x00000002 Force IRQL checking.
[ ] 0x00000008 Pool tracking.
[ ] 0x00000010 I/O verification.
[ ] 0x00000200 Force pending I/O requests.
[ ] 0x00000020 Deadlock detection.
[ ] 0x00000080 DMA checking.
[ ] 0x00000100 Security checks.
[ ] 0x00000800 Miscellaneous checks.
[ ] 0x00020000 DDI compliance checking.
[ ] 0x00080000 DDI compliance checking (additional).


Report into this thread if there are any major performance problems including very slow boot.

If there is no immediate BSOD then post a new querysettings share link.

For any BSOD post an new V2 share link.

Yes I did only those 3 test as you told me so.
Now, I'll redo these ones for another 48h.

The boot seems quite normal, not a lot slower: about 35s.

The customized tests are added to avoid major performance problems.

If there are no performance problems then more customized tests can be added.

All of the testing can be completed in 48 hours and then an additional 24 hours after the last BSOD.

So if there are no performance problems with the above customized tests there will be a new querysettings share link.

Then more customized tests will be added.

If there is a BSOD that creates a dump file it an be debugged.

I got 3 BSOD... !!
I can't zip the minidump to upload because it crashes...
I made a V2 log after 1 BSOD...
I'll try to upload something if it does not crash...
Now has crashed on boot! I'm writing from cell...

It asked a restore on boot, not the options to repair or to make a troubleshoot cmd...

When WDV finds a misbehaving driver it is designed to crash.

If it creates a mini dump file it can be debugged.

In order to return to the desktop to run the V2 log collector use one or more of these commands:

verifier /reset

verifier /bootmode resetonbootfail


Often when system restore is performed the dump file is lost and no progress is made in the troubleshooting.
So whenever possible use the above commands to recover from using the tool.

I copied the 2 minidump before it made the restore, so I saved them!
Also I have the 3 BSOD new minidump. So only one missing, the one on boot...
So the situation is this:

When WDV crashes the computer either boot to Windows Recovery Environment (RE) > command prompt or use a bootable Windows 10 Media Creation Tool (MCT) (Windows 10 iso).


When using WDV drivers or software can be uninstalled.
Alternatively drivers or software can be uninstalled and reinstalled.

The uninstallation method is quicker as Microsoft default drivers are used as needed.

The goal is to achieve a stable computer environment.

Then drivers or software can be reinstalled.



Uninstall or uninstall and reinstall:
rtsuer Realtek USB Card Reader - UER c:\windows\system32\drivers\rtsuer.sys


Uninstall or uninstall and reinstall the software related to:

Once WDV has crashed the computer it must be turned off to return to the desktop.
If WDV is used again all of the customized tests must be reset.


Restart WDV with the same customized settings.

If there is no immediate BSOD > post a new querysettings share link
If there is a BSOD > post a new V2 share link

To uninstall this driver could I use autoruns and click delete on that entry?
Or which method should I use?
