The logs did not report any unexpected shutdowns or restarts in the past 30 days.

I know. That's the problem. When the system fails (mostly using google with facebook) the display goes blank and the system becomes totally unresponsive, but does not turn completely off. The system has never failed when using only windows (running no third parts programs). Given everything I (and you) have looked at, I'm stumped. What do you suggest should be tried next?

Keep the thread open for a week and monitor using reliability monitor:
Reliability Monitor is the Best Windows Troubleshooting Tool You Aren’t Using.

Make sure that no file cleaning occurs.

New logs can be collected as needed

    Resolution

Prior to last post I noticed that an external USB keyboard worked without problems, so I just decided to use it and move on for a while. This week I decided to get back to the problem but focus on the keyboard. I solved it!

I replaced the current WIN10 HID driver with an older version from 2015 and the problem went away.

I'm assuming it was some kind of conflict between the current WIN10 driver and the old BIOS, but I'm guessing. If anyone can confirm that or has another idea I'd like to hear it.

Thanks to all who took the time to help - especially zbook.
