    Windows 10 BSOD!

    Good Evening All,

My brand new desktop system with Windows 10 Home (retail and updated recently) crashed this evening while I was working. Received the blue window with all the options.

    Edition Windows 10 Home
    Version 20H2
    Installed on ‎2021-‎02-‎02
    OS build 19042.867
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0

Your help would be much appreciated.

    With thanks, ms

I'd think seriously about whether you want to start messing around with it, or whether you should invoke the warranty period and return it for professional attention.

    Bsod

    Hi idgat,

Thanks for the quick response. I can't return the desktop system since my nephew built it for me during lock down in early January.

It appeared to be working fine today and then it went buggy while I was working in Word creating quilting patterns.

Is it Windows 10 software repair that is needed?

    Cheers, ms

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>sfc/scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at
windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.

I'm sorry for not paying attention right away but it looks like you did not have BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) but rather system crash that lead to RE (Recovery Environment) blue screen.

    Please list any non-Microsoft software:
    a) antivirus
    b) firewall
    c) drive encryption

The V2 log collector collected very few folders and files.

Please uninstall using the applicable uninstall tool any non-Microsoft antivirus and firewall.
Then run each V2 and DM and upload results into this thread.

    VM and DM Logs

    Hi zbook and zebal,

I've removed Bitdefender Total Security 2021 from my computer. I'm not too sure about the type of encryption on my system other than Bitdefender and Windows 10 Home.

Re-ran V2 and did a DM as requested.

    With many thanks,

As zebal commented there were no BSOD seen in the collected log files.

    Please perform the following steps:

    1) run:

Tuneup.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

LOGS.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

    2) turn off Windows fast startup:
