    Bsod Kernal Mode Heat Corruption

    Dell Lattitude 7380,Win 10 Pro,64 bits,,8gb,Latest build,..
    all updates done,drivers recently updated..

Had a bsod today, while actually removing some old restore points in ccleaner..
had the same issue a week or so ago,..think i,d just updated a driver...

    WhoCrashed,gives the following
    -------------------------------------------
    Crash dump directories:
    C:\WINDOWS
    C:\WINDOWS\Minidump

On Mon 08/02/2021 1:51:25 PM your computer crashed or a problem was reported
    crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\020821-7312-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x3F5780)
    Bugcheck code: 0x13A (0x11, 0xFFFF998E80000100, 0xFFFF998E9E7F5530, 0x0)
    Error: KERNEL_MODE_HEAP_CORRUPTION
    file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
    product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
    company: Microsoft Corporation
    description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that the kernel mode heap manager has detected corruption in a heap.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
i have run ful memory test..no issues,..
smart data from hd sentinel shows hd 100 pc health..
    also updated relevant drivers
file checker and checkdisk, give no errors

    Any ideas gratefully recieved

    Please perform the following steps:

    1) Run:

Tuneup.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

DiskParInfo.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

LOGS.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

    2) Open disk management > by default some columns are compressed > widen each Status and Volume > make sure the contents within the parenthesis are in full view and that none of the characters are cutoff > view disk 0 > widen this row as needed so that all of the characters are in full view > post an image into the thread
Disk Management - How to Post a Screenshot of

    3) Uninstall Wise Cleaner

    4) Uninstall Avast using the applicable uninstall tool:
Avast Uninstall Utility | Download aswClear for Avast Removal

    5) Run HD Tune (free version) (all drives)
    HD Tune website
Post images into the thread for results on these tabs:
    a) Health
    b) Benchmark
    c) Full error scan

    6) Run Sea Tools for Windows
    long generic test
Post an image of the test result into the thread
    SeaTools for Windows |
    Seagate

How to use SeaTools for Windows | Seagate Support US

    7) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    chkdsk /b /v
This may take hours to run so plan to run overnight.
Run on all drives using the syntax: chkdsk /b /v C: or chkdsk /b /v D: changing the drive letter to the applicable drive.

    C:\Windows\system32>chkdsk /b /v
The type of the file system is NTFS.
    Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

    Type: Y
    reboot

    8) Use the information in this link to find the chkdsk report in the event viewer.
Copy and paste into notepad > save to desktop > post into the thread using a one drive, drop box, or google drive share link:
Read Chkdsk Log in Event Viewer in Windows 10 Windows 10 Performance Maintenance Tutorials
Read Chkdsk Log in Event Viewer in Windows 10

    9) These steps / tests can be performed overnight:
    a) HD Tune full error scan
    b) Sea Tools for Windows long generic test
    c) Chkdsk /b /v

The BSOD on 01/10/2021 was caused by Avast drivers.
The Avast software was not seen in the newer BSOD.
For completeness please run their uninstaller.

The BSOD on 02/04 and 02/08 were caused by a Wise cleaner misbehaving driver.
So uninstalling the software should fix the BSOD.
Time is needed to make sure there are no more BSOD.

The drives need to be tested.

Wise cleaner can be reinstalled at a later time.

For Sea Tools the link displayed: 1.4.0.4.
    The latest version is 1.4.0.7.
It will download and install 1.4.0.7 even though the webpage still displays the older version.

    This is an alternative webpage:
Software and Firmware Downloads | Seagate Support US > click downloads for Windows

    Seagate should have replaced:

    Code:
    Software Version:v1.4.0.4
    COMPATIBLE OPERATING SYSTEMS
    Windows 7 CompatibleWindows Vista Icon
    Windows 8
    Windows 7 32 and 64-Bit
    Windows Vista 32 and 64-Bit
    Windows XP
