    Bsod memory_management

Hi everyone, I recently had MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSOD on my laptop. I left it running on battery for a while, when I came back it was showing the blue screen and the battery was almost depleted. I'm guessing it happened trying to hibernate or go to sleep. Hopefully you can help me pinpoint the issue. Thanks in advance.

The test with Seatools, do I test only the Seagate HDD or both the Seagate HDD and Crucial SSD?

Sorry for the delay, I had to use the computer almost non stop for the last week, so I didn't have time to do all the tests, and fortunately the BSOD didn't occurred again. I did do the Memetest86 tests and it didn't find errors.

But today I had another issue, I was installing a program to the HDD and during the install the drive disappeared from the system. I restarted the system and entered the Bios but the disk wasn't there. I opened the laptop and disconnected the drive, I left it there for a while almost sure it was dead. Later I connected it again and the Bios recognized it, I ran Seatools from a USB drive and the HDD passed the SMART Test, the Short Self Diagnostic Test, a Generic Short Test, a Generic Long Test, a Short Fix All Test and a Long Fix All Test. Right now the drive is working without issues. I'm already working on doing a backup and finding a replacement drive, but the drive seems to be working fine. Maybe is a mobo issue? Any other ideas?

Is this faulty disk stable on another computer? If so, it may be the fault of the motherboard, or actually the built-in SATA controller. So it's worth buying and connecting an external SATA controller, maybe there won't be any problems on it

Unfortunately, I don't have any other computer to test and is difficult to go to a repair center right now due to the pandemic. But after it happening again during a high disk activity operation, weekly automatic defrag, and searching a bit on the Internet, I'm 95% sure the disk is fine and it's a sata cable issue, sata controller or motherboard issue. I'll start trying to find someone who sells the cable in my region and, if I find it and it solves my problem, I'll update the post or contact Dell.

Sorry for the late response, I have apparently solved my problems. I disabled Link Power Management on the Intel Rapid Storage Technology tool and I haven't had a crash, BSOD or drives disconnecting for the last 3 months. I'll mark this as solved.

Glad to read that it is sorted.

3 months is more than enough time to check for stability / instability.
