Getting BSODs after Gaming (issue with ntoskrnl.exe)

    OS version: Windows 1909

    Hello guys,

after playing The Witcher 3 for two hours and closing the game properly, I got a BSOD after a couple of minutes of doing nothing at the desktop. It was similar with FIFA 19, after an hour I got a BSOD while gaming (before the first incident). All of this happened today! I already sent my laptop in a couple of weeks ago, because my laptop fan (CPU) stopped working. They switched the fans and repasted my laptop, additionally they checked BIOS, functions, hardware and so on (without errors). The temperatures are definitely fine, they rarely go above 80°C (tested with AIDA64). I raised the undervolt of the CPU via ThrottleStop from -125mV to -150mV a week ago, but I was not sure if doing that caused this problem so today I changed the value back to -125mV. I attached my file (created with V2 log collector).
Latest graphics drivers, audio driver, network driver, etc. are installed.

I hope you can help me and thanks for reading this.

    Things I tried:

    - chkdsk /f /r
    - sfc /scannow
    - Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    - DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    - Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool
    - Full virus scan
    - Disk Clean-up (C:)
    - Maintenance check
    - removed update (KB4535996)
    - removed unnecessary software
    - battery calibration

The collected dump file bugchecks were:
    3B
    7F
    D1

The logs also displayed these bugchecks:
    WHEA 0x124

Use a camera or smart phone camera to take pictures and post images into the thread.
In case there are any problems uploading images use share links (one drive, drop box, or google drive)

Memtest86 has a feature to produce a text report.
Please post this in addition to the images.

    5) Uninstall the Nvidia GPU driver using DDU (display driver uninstaller)
    7) Re-install the Nvidia GPU driver from the Nvidia website
    8) Make sure that you check the clean install box and if available install the physx driver.

    9) For any BSOD:

    a) run the V2 log collector to collect new log files

    b) open file explorer> this PC > C: > in the right upper corner search for: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
    > if the file size is < 1.5 GB then zip > post a separate share link into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

    Update 2

    Hello zbook,

I completed all steps and uploaded the results as a compressed file, because it's more convenient. I want to add that since I resetted the undervolt settings, no BSODs occured anymore. I played several hours of FIFA and Wreckfest in the last days. Don't know if necessary, but I updated the V2, DM and MEMORY files.

All Test Results -> All Test Results.zip - Google Drive
    MEMORY.dmp -> MEMORY.zip - Google Drive

    Thanks.

The HD Tune health results displayed a scroll bar on the right side.
When available please post images displaying all results.

The log collector files were in a foreign language and could not be scanned.

If you have no further BSOD that will complete the troubleshooting.
If there are recurrent BSOD additional testing can be performed.

Okay, that's strange, because I didn't change the language settings of Windows 10. I don't have the HD Tune health results anymore, but I am sure that the values were ok. I will mark this problem as solved, as there are no BSODs anymore. I think I will create a new thread in the future, if the problem still persists.

Thanks for your time and help!

    You are welcome.

The HD Tune Health results are nearly instantaneous.
The benchmark takes a few minutes.
The full error scan takes a few hours.

The HD Tune health scan is the same as SMART.
There are many other software that test using a variety of SMART tests.
These attempt to predict drive failure.

    BSOD can often be missed.
The computer settings were optimized to find and record any BSOD.

There was a WHEA 0x124 that is most often seen with malfunctioning hardware.
    Overclocking can cause these too.
Least common is a misbehaving driver for this type of bugcheck.
So time is now needed to see whether BSOD have been fixed.

What I forgot to mention is that in January I got BSODs because my laptop massively overheated due to the malfunctioning cooling fans. In retrospect it was really stupid to game at that time, but I can't change the past. In April I have sent my laptop to the MSI Service Center in Poland. They switched the fans, reapplied the thermal paste and performed an overall check (BIOS Update, hardware checks, BurnIn Test). I think (and hope) that they did not find any hardware issues while testing the laptop. The latest BSODs were most likely caused by the heavy undervolt I did. Luckily my laptop works fine now. I will still run benchmarks and stability tests in the next days and see if my system keeps working properly.

To see maximum temperatures detected by drive sensors you can run HD Sentinel:

Run HD Sentinel: (free or trial edition)
Hard Disk Sentinel - HDD health and temperature monitoring
Hard Disk Sentinel - HDD health and temperature monitoring
Post images of each of these tabs into the thread:
