    BSOD Rebooted from Bugcheck

    I keep getting system freezes and if left for a while the system will BSOD and reboot. I've got a dump file from the last rebooting from a bug check and here is the link to that dump file.

    Any help in reviewing the file and giving me a clue to what's going on is very much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Thank you. I had tried that but there is no driver update for Win 10 only Win 7 ("If you do not see the version of your operating system (OS) listed, HP does not have any downloadable software or drivers for your product.")

    Choose Win 7 and download the newest BIOS. HP doesn't support this computer for Win 10 that's why you can't choose this system

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
    4) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    5) sfc /scannow
    6) chkdsk /scan
    7) wmic recoveros set autoreboot = false
    8) wmic recoveros set DebugInfoType = 7
    9) bcdedit /enum {badmemory}

    10) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    11) Uninstall Driver Easy 5.6.12
    If any drivers were installed using this software you can perform a system restore to a date that predates the installation or reinstall drivers from the HP website
    https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers.../model/4242528

    12) In the left lower corner search type: system or system control > open system control panel > on the left pane click advanced system settings

    a) > on the advanced tab under startup and recovery > click settings > post an image of the startup and recovery window into the thread

    b) > on the advanced tab under performance > click on settings > on the performance options window > click on the advanced tab > under virtual memory > click on change > post an image of the virtual memory window into the thread

    13) Open Ccleaner > click windows tab > scroll down to system and advanced > post an image into the thread

    14) Download and install HP hardware diagnostics Windows: (right upper area of this link)
    https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/.../pc-diags.html

    15) Launch the application > click system tests > click system extensive test tab > plan to run overnight > click run once > in the AM click component tests > some are interactive > post images into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

    16) Choose one of the temperature monitoring software applications: Speecy, HW monitor, Speed fan:
    Speccy - Free Download - Piriform: Speccy - System Information - Free
    Download Speccy | Find your computer specs, free!
    Download Speccy | Find your computer specs, free!

    17) Run memtest86+ version 5.01 for at least 8 passes.
    Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
    This may take hours so plan to run it overnight.

    a) Please make sure you use the Memtest86+ version 5.01 with the link below.
    Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

    The testing is done not by time but by passes.
    The more passes the better the testing conditions.
    There are a significant number of false negatives if fewer than 8 passes are made.
    A false negative is a test pass when there is malfunctioning RAM.
    There is 12 GB of RAM on the computer.
    Memtest86+ version 5.01 testing takes approximately 1 - 2 hours /GB RAM
    Just 1 error is a fail and you can abort testing.
    Then test 1 RAM module at a time in the same DIMM each for 8 or more passes.

    b) When Memtest86+ version 5.01 has completed 8 or more passes use a camera or smart phone camera to take a picture and post an image into the thread.

    18) For any BSOD:

    a) run the V2 log collector to collect new log files

    b) open file explorer> this PC > C: > in the right upper corner search for: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
    > if the file size is < 1.5 GB then zip > post a separate share link into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

    Here are steps 1-10. Note that bcdedit /enum {badmemory] would not run; the result as you can see was an invalid command line switch. (?????)

    BCDEDIT - Boot Configuration Data Store Editor

    The Bcdedit.exe command-line tool modifies the boot configuration data store.
    The boot configuration data store contains boot configuration parameters and
    controls how the operating system is booted. These parameters were previously
    in the Boot.ini file (in BIOS-based operating systems) or in the nonvolatile
    RAM entries (in Extensible Firmware Interface-based operating systems). You can
    use Bcdedit.exe to add, delete, edit, and append entries in the boot
    configuration data store.

    For detailed command and option information, type bcdedit.exe /? <command>. For
    example, to display detailed information about the /createstore command, type:

    bcdedit.exe /? /createstore

    For an alphabetical list of topics in this help file, run "bcdedit /? TOPICS".

    Commands that operate on a store
    ================================
    /store Used to specify a BCD store other than the current system default.
    /createstore Creates a new and empty boot configuration data store.
    /export Exports the contents of the system store to a file. This file
    can be used later to restore the state of the system store.
    /import Restores the state of the system store using a backup file
    created with the /export command.
    /sysstore Sets the system store device (only affects EFI systems, does
    not persist across reboots, and is only used in cases where
    the system store device is ambiguous).

    Commands that operate on entries in a store
    ===========================================
    /copy Makes copies of entries in the store.
    /create Creates new entries in the store.
    /delete Deletes entries from the store.
    /mirror Creates mirror of entries in the store.

    Run bcdedit /? ID for information about identifiers used by these commands.

    Commands that operate on entry options
    ======================================
    /deletevalue Deletes entry options from the store.
    /set Sets entry option values in the store.

    Run bcdedit /? TYPES for a list of datatypes used by these commands.
    Run bcdedit /? FORMATS for a list of valid data formats.

    Commands that control output
    ============================
    /enum Lists entries in the store.
    /v Command-line option that displays entry identifiers in full,
    rather than using names for well-known identifiers.
    Use /v by itself as a command to display entry identifiers
    in full for the ACTIVE type.

    Running "bcdedit" by itself is equivalent to running "bcdedit /enum ACTIVE".

    Commands that control the boot manager
    ======================================
    /bootsequence Sets the one-time boot sequence for the boot manager.
    /default Sets the default entry that the boot manager will use.
    /displayorder Sets the order in which the boot manager displays the
    multiboot menu.
    /timeout Sets the boot manager time-out value.
    /toolsdisplayorder Sets the order in which the boot manager displays
    the tools menu.

    Commands that control Emergency Management Services for a boot application
    ==========================================================================
    /bootems Enables or disables Emergency Management Services
    for a boot application.
    /ems Enables or disables Emergency Management Services for an
    operating system entry.
    /emssettings Sets the global Emergency Management Services parameters.

    Command that control debugging
    ==============================
    /bootdebug Enables or disables boot debugging for a boot application.
    /dbgsettings Sets the global debugger parameters.
    /debug Enables or disables kernel debugging for an operating system
    entry.
    /hypervisorsettings Sets the hypervisor parameters.

    Command that control remote event logging
    =========================================
    /eventsettings Sets the global remote event logging parameters.
    /event Enables or disables remote event logging for an operating
    system entry.

    PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> bcdedit /enum {badmemory}
    Invalid command line switch: /encodedCommand
