Permanently disable EM Client Update notifications?

Any known way to permanently disable EM Client Update notifications? I mean I bought a lifetime license thinking it meant a LIFETIME, but you have to actually pay for any/all updates! and if you want to disable it, you have to have a License Manager which is only available to you if you pay more than you did for the initial LIFETIME LICENSE....I mean WTAF!

    Hello @ReallyFrustratd,

I assume that you have read the following? . . .

    > Completely Uninstall eM Client from Computer
    > Unable to Uninstall eM Client
    > How to Uninstall eM Client from Windows Thoroughly?

    Have you tried? . . .

     Revo Uninstaller - FREE

    About Revo Uninstaller - FREE:

The Uninstaller module is Revo Uninstaller ‘s primary feature for situations when a program won’t uninstall normally or when you have some doubts that a program has not been uninstalled completely.

Also when a program is uninstalled, often times there are multiple files, folders, and/or Registry entries left on your system, which can cause various issues if not removed. This happens more frequently than you might think.

Revo Uninstaller acts as both a replacement and a supplement to the built-in functionality in Windows by first running the built-in uninstaller for the program, and then scanning for leftover data afterwards, making it your best choice when it comes to completely remove stubborn programs, temporary files, and other unnecessary program data that is left behind after the standard uninstall process.

Revo Uninstaller now has the ability to delete Microsoft Apps - under its own Tab.

I find that when uninstalling software, Revo Uninstaller [ FREE ] is excellent. It has an option to Scan for leftover items after the initial uninstall [ using the software own uninstall process if one exists ] using an Advanced Scan option.

    > Website & Download => Revo Uninstaller [ FREE ]

Here is some additional detailed information that is very nicely explaind by our Forum member @idgat . . .

    > Additional Revo Uninstaller Information.

    I hope this helps.

    Just contact info...

You can ask the eM Client team to set a limit on your updates manually, just reach out to info@emclient.com

Also, if your license is not valid for a specific version, you will NOT get automatic updates for that version.
So unless you buy an upgrade, you will not see the Automatic update in your program for that version at all.
If you do, that would be a bug that you can also report to us.

    Have a good day.

Edit c:\windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts and add the following lines at the bottom

    127.0.0.1 emclient.com
    127.0.0.1 www.emclient.com

Software vendors that force upgrade nag screens suck

The hosts block didn't work for me, so I did this via a windows firewall rule instead. The downside is you have to find the IPs and IPs sometimes change, but you can easily find them via https://www.nslookup.io/domains/www....om/webservers/ for example

    Code:
    www.emclient.com
    172.67.73.71
    104.26.2.228
    104.26.3.228
Make an outbound rule, like this in "Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security"
