Ah well... was just a guess.
I would probably change them back to the way they were.

You need to find someone who has the spinning circle thing on the download icon (when downloading), and then compare yours and their... userChrome.css files.

I was looking at the new version 3.2.2 Ghot ...and I did not find anything in there that even looked like

    [Buttons]
(fix) Fx89+/Proton: custom icons size + downloads buttons is back again

There is nothing in there like that....

Yeah, I didn't see anything that stood out either. For all we know it could be under something generic that "affects" the download icon.

I figure there will be a LOT of updates in a short period of time, due to the many major changes in FF 89.
In the past I've only used the newer versions when I "needed" to.

My advice would be... keep an eye on the new versions, but only replace the current version, if needed.

I think it may be just the opposite. Firefox will assume true till you turn it off with a created about:config preference.

I recall this case from last year with a new feature, the Recommendations tab in addons, as an example.
    Thx for pointing that out.

    Bool·e·an
    /ˈbo͞olēən/
    adjective: Boolean
denoting a system of algebraic notation used to represent logical propositions, especially in computing and electronics.

    noun: Boolean; plural noun: Booleans
a binary variable, having two possible values called “true” and “false.”.

    =====================================================================================

That said... here is a list of most if not all the about:config settings.
Settings labeled Boolean are NOT necessarily True by default.
Boolean is just the "type" of the value for a setting. Like Integer or string.

Go to www.google.com, and search for this...

    about:config entries

    ...should be the top result.

This list will show, (in parenthesis), what the default setting... is.

    Just a small example...

All added and set to false, no change.

    Thx Ghot that'll be handy.

    Ghot + OldMike :

Sorry if I led you astray, but although I could get the download icon back within the context of my own CSS settings, when trying to use this import in "userChrome.css" which Ghot had uploaded originally,
    @import "./css/buttons/icons_custom_icons_fx45.css"; /**/
    the download icon disappears.

Anyway, I have attached a copy of my Chrome folder with the current image of the icon.
    Sorry once again.

ps: The 3.2.2 commit has a changelog here:
    3.2.2 . Aris-t2/CustomCSSforFx@411c0a7 . GitHub

The new about:config is so bloody dis-functional!

The old xhtml version is so much more user friendly!
