    Threats detected by Windows Defender

    Hi all,

Windows Defender detected several infections on my computer including Ransom:Win32/StopCrypt.MAPK! MTB.

However, to get rid of these infections, I scanned my computer with Eset Online Scanner, MalwareBytes, and RogueKiller, but it didn't work and all the infections became active again.

    Thank you in advance.

Hello and welcome to Windows Ten Forums!

If Windows Defender detected malware, it should be blocked automatically. Same for Malwarebytes, etc.

Can you post a screenshot of the WD detections?

Where are the remediation options to this list?
Glad that I still read some French.

I've run Windows Defender's recommendations many times (Remove, Quarantine..), but it doesn't work!

Something is definitely amiss. All those tools can't quarantine and remove?
Do you have a clean restorable backup image of your computer?

Create this on a different computer:

    Norton Rescue Tools

Then boot with it on the "infected" system.

I'm new to Windows 10 and I'm still getting to know it

    So I haven't made a backup yet.

You could try a Defender Offline scan.

I think Microsoft Defender Offline will not work for me, since I installed Eset Internet Security?

    Hello @apz

Please run the following so that I can get some logs to see what is going on. Some of the detections are from Ransomware and if it's not locked you out yet it may be very close to doing so.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.
    Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system.
You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit
    https://support.microsoft.com/kb/827218

Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
    Press the Scan button.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply as well.

    Thank you
