Those are in the sticky posts for this topic: see Activation troubleshooting. So for the license checker:

Save the .ps1 file to any folder - right-click and select "Run with Powershell"

And the other one's just a regular executable.

    Thx.

Were you able to determine the date in which Pro had changed to Enterprise?
Was it recorded in event viewer or Panther or other logs?

I'm fairly certain it happened right after the most recent Windows Update, which apparently ran on Dec 16 (if my novice reading of the Event Viewer log is correct). I wouldn't know what to look for to determine when the edition changed -- or whether it actually did.

There are log collectors used in another forum.
Please run each DM and V2 and upload results into this thread.

Sorry, am headed to the airport, back Jan 3. I can get to this then. But...I'm confused why it's needed; did you notice the issue is solved?

    This is a rare event.
The log collectors will collect the event viewer logs and others.
They don't collect the Panther logs.
It you can post it would be useful in seeing if and how it was displayed in the logs.

Ok I'll get my niece to post those later today

    - - - Updated - - -

Long day, trip cancelled, am back home, but now the problem has returned!

Exact same symptoms. PC was on and mostly idle the whole time. Do you still want these additional logs?

    I marked the thread unsolved.

    Hmmmm... (?)

This is so weird - hard to know where to start trouble-shooting. Best would be to eliminate any causes like uninstalling last update etc
If this only happens when online it could be that the digital licence on your MSA is corrupt thus suggest removing it.
We can establish a new DL - this batch file has the OEM generic key for Pro (you can edit it and change to your bios key if you want). Run as administrator

Thanks for this. It does only happen when online, I've noticed. Couple questions though:

The generic Pro key I'd been seeing (& sometimes trying) isn't the one in the batch file. It ends in 3V66T. That OK? Should I have been trying the one in the file?

Does this file remove the license, or do I need to do that?

Once it's removed, am I in a different universe where things could go really south? I hesitate to risk worsening the situation. A day ago I was resigned to, and fine with, just always seeing the watermark (and never changing wallpaper via Settings -- which I never do anyway).
