    Odd Behaviour windows 10

    Hello All,
It seems if i leave my computer on for a while, in screensaver mode, say around 1.5 hours it goes all funny, it slows right down becomes unresponsive, this has happened a few times lately, i have run sfc /scannow, no integrity violations, i think they call it, i am at a loss, the cpu temp shows around 32 c, as i type this i can hear the fan running, last time it went odd, i must admit, i could not hear any fan noise
Its a Dell optiplex 9020, i have upgraded the memory to 16 gb, and also installed a new 500 gb ssd drive
I did go into troubleshooter but is said on screen i have nothing to check
Any advice really welcome and much appreciated

Hi, have you run antimalware scans?

This is from around 2013, so is both old and you could experience incompatibility issues at some point.

Please confirm you have not been using any 3rd party driver update tools.

Is it only with the screensaver on that this happens?
What happens if you disable the screensaver and leave it idle for that long (you may need to disable sleep).

Is the screensaver generated by your PC or the monitor itself?

Is the monitor, when not connected to the PC stable - or if possible, connected to something else?
I.e. if the only indication you have of any problem is what the monitor shows, try to separate PC and monitor and verify separately.

it slows right down becomes unresponsive
Exactly what becomes unresponsive? What are you trying to do when 'it' doesn't respond?

Try booting to Safe Mode and leaving it for a couple of hours. Any difference?

The symptoms at present are somewhat vague, so it's hard to know what to suggest.

If you find your PC doesn't respond- e.g. is slow to respond when you move your mouse/try to open a program etc - try to capture a screenshot or picture of your task manager showing resource usage if you can.

    Hello,
    Many thanks for reply
I have run the dell diagnostic program, I selected F11 in the bios, it did all hardware and nothing is wrong.
I was using tinkercad, I had to go out and left it on for about an hour, it then became sluggish and cursor wouldn’t move, I must confess, I did repeatedly push on and off the power button, after boot it was ok again.
It happens every so often, I just wonder why thanks for your help

The scripts by design prompt AV software and require manual overrides.

    https://www.tenforums.com/attachment...p_plus_log.bat

    See: Part Two
    Run the batch file

Batch files for use in BSOD debugging

Drivers new and old can misbehave.

When the most up to date driver misbehaves:

    a) uninstall and reinstall the same driver
    b) uninstall and reinstall an older driver for testing
