    Lost App from taskbar


    On windows 10...pc
    On my bottom taskbar was a small window shaped app. .that allowed click and to see what (what I call windows were open) say maybe 3 different pages maybe word pad and my home page from yahoo.
    I wish to get that back but I don't know the name of the app
    Also on my start where it says "Type here to search" I now have a pic of flowers and a wrapped gift.. I would rather that wasn't there...if it is easy to get rid of.

    I must have hit something to create this problem today...all of sudden I had this large taskbar...took me 2 hours to get it back to size.

    I'm 90 and what I learned last week I know longer can remember.

    Hello,

    It sounds like you may be referring to the Task View button on the taskbar. If so, the tutorial linked below can help show you how to add it back.

    The graphics in the Search Box is the Search Highlights feature. The tutorial linked below can help show you how to turn that off.

Up until several hours ago, I could either press the Windows key ("winkey") + X, or <right-click> on the Windows icon at the left end of the task bar to pop up a very handy menu. Clicking on the Windows icon still pops open the Start Menu, though....
