Windows 10 Fall Update Not Appearing?

    Hi,

I've been trying to update my laptop which is running Windows 10 Pro 32bit and when I try to update it via "Settings" and then "Updates" the Windows 10 Fall Update doesn't appear.

I don't want to download the .ISO image of the Windows 10 Fall Update so how can I update the laptop from within "Settings" and "Updates"?

I just updated my main desktop PC which has a graphics card to the Windows 10 Fall Update that was released and everything is fine.

    EDIT:
I forgot to say thanks for any help!

When was the last time you received an update and it worked fine ? Check update history in Windows Update.
You can download the update here at the end of this tutorial Cumulative Update KB4043961 Windows 10 v1709 Build 16299.19

Or you can try to reset windows update from this tutorial first then try rerunning Windows update.

Hi, @NiceAndShy .... If you could fill in the basics of your system specs (make. model mem, disk, etc.) in the option at the lower left corner of your post, it would help a lot. Please do not just post what it is, that will not carry forward to any other post you make, and others will ask again about your specs. If you update them in your profile specs, all will be able to reference them. Here is a tutorial, also, to help.

First guess about your FCU update.....it being a 32 bit machine, it may not have made it in the MS queue for offerings. They are releasing first with newer machines with high specs. Again, if you would please fill in your specs, as best you can, it would help here, and in the future.

    Thanks, TC.....

Most up to date security fixes from Microsoft and getting the latest major build are two different subjects. If you got all the updates from last Tuesday, Patch Tuesday, you have the latest security updates. Not being offered the FCU , based on your posted specs, is probably due to your laptops configuration. It will be offered later when MS has finished with the newer models, and works down to it. Not saying it's fair, it's just the way it is. You can do it yourself by following this tutorial and using Windows Update Assistant.

There is a phased rollout via Windows Update so I suggest you wait a while. My laptop was only updated to the CU 7 days ago but was updated to the FCU yesterday. Very odd!
