My idea probably won't help as my issue was exceedingly strange, but this won't take long. Make sure that Macromedia flash player is installed in windows (not the google one which is sandboxed) If it is, and updated, there was a patch from win update a couple of weeks back. It must be installed too. You could also try enabling internet explorer in MS features, but I didn't need to. I mentioned in case you have any issue installing flash.
Thats all I can say, I explained in earlier posts in this thread (be very careful about deleting anything) how this was the solution for me on 2 x W10 machines. One home, One pro.
Still on topic: I also tried DISM, SFC, Deleted the distribution file (second time the whole thing not just downloads - but it made no difference.) Oh and DISM and SFC always returned no errors or integrity violations. After a few sessions and hours of trying various fixes non of which worked for me, I remembered that I couldn't install the securitiy patch for flash. Then I clearly remembered that I erased all Macromedia files in SYS32 WOW64 and users Roaming NOTHING in winX. That will trash your installation as several posts back. After copying over files from another PC (Macromedia files) Everything worked perfectly and has done since then. I still get perfect SFC DISM, 1min Diag. report. My PCs are actually running very well now.
I reiterate, my case was plain weird so I doubt it will help, but if you've tried everything else you could also check that flash is properly installed. If it is, sorry, this post will be useless for you. Goodluck!!
After being satisfied that this update fixed a couple of issues, it appears that I now cannot open "This PC" or "File Explorer". Running "Scannow" aborts with a "Resource Allocation Not Found" error. Oh boy.. put out one fire and another erupts. Time to do some searching to find a fix. Hope to avoid having to re-install Windows10 again. Upon reflection, Windows95/98/XP/Vista/7 were a cakewalk, compared to this Microsoft O.S..
this update is causing all kinds of problems for me it completely hosed WU service to the point it would not start, I had to reinstalled the OS.
This why my other PC's are not running win 10 yet and wont be till like month before the free upgrade is over. hopefull they sort out there issue before then. it onthing to deal with 1 pc issue cause the updates are screw things up something completly diffrent when u have to deal with 5+ computers all have issue.
Reinstalling an OS to fix things that OS update caused is not cool
Since going to windows 10 I have reinstalled it 5 times all cause stupid things most which where caused by the updates them selves
I have that many tabs opened for a reason as I'm 5-6 years behind in things, history would not work as I'm trying to go through facebook notifications for the last year at 400-500 notifications a day using the email notifications so I open a batch at a time... I'm a developer, rocket scientist, I own and run a ISP so have a bunch of stuff to monitor plus there is the monitoring of investments which generates me a 5 digit income daily. 1 tab in chrome is not always one task as it's atleast 12 tasks/process even if you just had 1 tab opened as there are tabs for the extensions/plugins installed. There is a way to run everything under one process for all the tabs except the entire chrome will crash if there are problems.

The other reason is that Windows 10 and my LG G4 came out at the same time so I have multiple tabs opened trying to figure out how to tweak and fix problems and have to read each tab completely before closing it. Last night, I opened only a addition 4 tabs and Windows 10 as a whole just froze at 10:57pm even though it was 11:49pm in all tasks except for the mouse cursor, it was not responsive. Chrome then completely killed itself as a task. So Windows still doesn't manage resources well. In Windows 7 and XP, there was a registry hack that I used so I can open multiple processes by setting the limits higher which I haven't looked at for 10 yet.

There is a reason that Mac OSX actually works well, it's because the actual OS is actually FreeBSD Unix with a Mach kernel and then the GUI just goes on top of it. I run FreeBSD servers and their uptime is years, in fact one box has never been down since 1996.
@tsunami2311 - reinstalling is not cool but doing a in-place upgrade/install is not bad as you don't lose anything and all you do is just run the updates afterwards.
@Darkc0de
In case you mean that you only tried the steps you listed and NOT using Dark Shadow's CAB installation utility to install the full offline installer .cab files that Cluster Head provided links to, then you seriously need to try that.
I also tried all the steps you listed (and more) and none of it worked except the fix I just mentioned.
IF you mean that you DID try that:
I'm sorry that I can't provide any helpful information for you since mine went without any problem at all. Then when I rebooted and did another Windows Update check, it said that I had no updates available (a very welcome sign to my sore eyes indeed).
Maybe in case Dark Shadow doesn't see this post, you could perhaps message him, since it's his utility that does the installation of the .cab file and he would be familiar with the error codes you're talking about.
Maybe that can help point you in the right direction.
As always,
Hugh

Oh dear, that doesn't sound good. More trouble shooting I guess? But thanks for the heads up, I'll be checking and running diagnostic reports DISM and maybe SFC too. So far, so good for me. I'm really sorry to hear it went pear shaped, especially a seemingly successful install. The next post below yours by Tsunami2311 just adds to it.
All of these different problems. Of course a few lucky ones have had no issues since release date, but too many weird issues. MS needs to get their act together with these updates. It's not good enough, not to mention forced DRIVER updates. Grrrrr that's off topic, just as well. It's the thing that annoys me the most.
