Event ID 2545 Now Logged At Start After Updating Win10

Yesterday I updated my PC with KB5019959 and NET update KB5020687.

I started getting "DeviceManagement-Enterprise-Diagnostics-Provider" Event ID 2545 error logged every time I start my desktop.

Anyone know how to fix this?

I found this on a MS forum, but no solution.

Post #22 in this TenForums thread has same issue, but no solution.

    @idahosurge

For a problem like this (concerning updates), it would help to know the exact Windows version.
Just type Winver in the Taskbar search box and post a screen shot.

    Also, the latest update is: KB5020030 Windows 10 19042.2311, 19043.2311, 19044.2311, 19045.2311

And, if you haven't already, it might be time to move to 22H2.

Well you could just do an In-Place upgrade to 22H2, which may solve your problem. I'd make a backup first.

Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

Here is the short version of the In-place upgrade tutorial...

    DISABLE non-Microsoft:
    a) antivirus software
    b) firewall software
    c) drive encryption software

Make a full OS backup with a program like Macrium Reflect (free)
Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free

Go here and get the Media Creation Tool and save it to your desktop.
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10

RUN the Media Creation Tool and use it to: Create an ISO image... save IT to your desktop.
This will be the latest version of the ISO image.
The ISO must be created in the same language as you are using in Windows, to be able to keep your Programs and Files.

Right click the ISO image and choose: MOUNT
Open File Explorer and you will see a new drive letter. It will "look" like a DVD optical drive.
Double click the new drive letter to open it.
Find setup.exe and double click it to start the in-place upgrade.

Choose the Keep personal files and apps option.

After it's all done... to UNmount the ISO image, right click the new drive letter and choose: EJECT.

The ONLY thing you will lose is some of your personalizations. Your programs and data will be intact.

You can also get the 22H2 ISO here...
Select language for Feature update to Windows 10, version 22H2 (19045.2311) amd64 - UUP dump

I've got the same 2545 issue and Windows 10 Pro version and build as well... I've not found any solution by now.
    (thanks for opening this post!)

Are you experiencing a problem that has functional symptoms or are you only asking about the existence of this Event log entry?

An entry in an Event log that is not reflected in any functional symptoms is not, of itself, a problem that needs fixing.
It's really the other way around - an observed fault symptom might be reflected in Event log entries that can assist in fault rectification.

    All the best,

No, I'm not: no functional symptoms so far.

I see but maybe MS could have marked them as "warning"...

Yes Denis, you're absolutely correct but I think there is something pathological, I speak for myself, in seeing alarms everywhere or in a mania for order (even just an error reported in the event log becomes a very serious fact)!

Thanks for your asnwer, see you!

    Joe,

And do bear in mind that the Event logs exist for Windows' benefit not ours.
For all us mere mortals know, those particular events are logged in order for Windows to check for them & use them to trigger a repeat process which, if successful, does not get logged.

I only look in Event logs if I'm investigating something.
If there's nothing to investigate then I don't look in them at all.

    All the best,
    Denis
