Please help, need to uninstall sturborn Windows SSU update!

I need some help and I wanna do a full clean reinstall as a last resource. Yesterday I made a mistake and installed KB5011487 or Windows 10 build 19042.1586 and now all of my games have microstutter and weird fps drops, this did not happen when I was on an earlier build, which was 19041.1165, I cannot remove the new update, Control Panel does not give the option to remove it, I've used a bunch of DISM commands and they do nothing, all of them fail. Please tell me what can I do or will I be forced to do a clean install?

Microsoft website says this, but it does not work for me: " If you want to remove the LCU

To remove the LCU after installing the combined SSU and LCU package, use the DISM/Remove-Package command line option with the LCU package name as the argument. You can find the package name by using this command: DISM /online /get-packages."

Here is the result for DISM Get-Packages. I need to remove the ones with 19043.1586 I assume, but at this point, I have no idea how.

    C:\Windows\system32>Dism /online /Get-Packages

    The operation completed successfully.

    C:\Windows\system32>

What commands must I introduce to get my Windows build to an earlier state?

    Thanks!

outch! You can try to uninstall them from update history... but my success rate is low with this...

Removing the LCU held package does just that, removes the downloaded and stored package, it will not uninstall any applied updates.
When Windows downloads updates it maintains a copy of the download in the Windows\Servicing\LCU folder, that is what you have removed.
You will need to check the settings, windows update, update history, uninstall updates link to see if you can remove the applied update. It may not be possible depending on how the update was intended to be integrated with the system.

No, I cannot uninstall any update, it does not give me the option to do so. Seems I have to a clean install then.

I have this, but no idea if it means anything: Package_for_RollupFix~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~19041.1586.1.7

Before you try a clean install, try an In-Place upgrade....'

Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

Here is the short version of the In-place upgrade tutorial...

    DISABLE non-Microsoft:
    a) antivirus software
    b) firewall software
    c) drive encryption software

Make a full OS backup with a program like Macrium Reflect (free)
Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free

Go here and get the Media Creation Tool and save it to your desktop.
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10

RUN the Media Creation Tool and use it to: Create an ISO image... save IT to your desktop.
This will be the latest version of the ISO image.

Right click the ISO image and choose: MOUNT
Open File Explorer and you will see a new drive letter. It will "look" like a DVD optical drive.
Double click the new drive letter to open it.
Find setup.exe and double click it to start the in-place upgrade.

Choose the Keep personal files and apps option.

After it's all done... to UNmount the ISO image, right click the new drive letter and choose: EJECT.

The ONLY thing you will lose is some of your personalizations. Your programs and data will be intact.

In the end, I had to reinstall Windows because that update became part of the system (it was stuck with it forever) and then apply the latest stable update that gave me no issues (which I can also uinstall at will now as well since it gives me the option if I see any weird issues), a lot of work, but in the end, this is not always a bad thing, everything gets refresh again. Thank you all for the suggestions too! Games don't stutter anymore or at least, not more than they should.

I recommend to anyone reading this to always make restore points or you will have to deal with the calvary I went through, lesson learned.

Unfortunately restore points are not always available, for example after a feature update or a significant out of band update as these may remove the restore points to prevent conflicting file versions being present. System restore is great when it can work, but other methods can really save your sanity when used in conjunction with restore points, such as imaging software.

    Try this:

    1. Right-click on the Start button.
    2. Select Windows PowerShell (Admin).
    3. When the PowerShell console appears, copy/paste or type the following then press the ENTER/RETURN key:

    Code:
    wusa /uninstall /kb:5011487
    Hope this helps...
