I am considering doing the Feature Update on Win Update Tue. (tomorrow), instead of normal v1909 update.
When doing a Repair Install you recommend disabling... AV, what about this?

I'd guess the most common opinion about McAfee around here is that you should uninstall it........................regardless of what you intend to do tomorrow.

To eliminate potential problems with antivirus during upgrades, Windows defender is active and other antivirus are uninstalled with the applicable uninstall tool.

Lesser steps may or may not result in an automatic rollback.

You can try upgrading without any modifications.
If there is an upgrade failure you can troubleshoot.

I'm Not happy with MacAfee(SLOW!), but had bad luck with other AV's being disabled!

Most common: Defender, from Microsoft; part of Windows.

If you want something additional that won't conflict with Defender: Malwarebytes; free or paid.

McAfee can be difficult to remove completely, but there is a tool that can help...Google it. It may even be on McAfee web site?

Once removed, take it outside and kill then burn it.

Nothing but Microsoft's own Windows Defender.

I uninstalled everything Mcafee/ Deleted All their files/ Rebooted, and ran their current cleanup tool (Huge!).
It took until this Sunday for system to start correctly.
I will install MBAM next week (I Never do system changes on a Sunday/Time update...).
