Can't fix "Some settings are managed by your organization"

    Hey guys,

Just found out I have this "Some settings are managed by your organization" message in my Windows settings and because of it some settings are blocked as well. Wasn't there before and it kind of bothers me.

The Gpedit.msc and gpedit /force in the cmd methods don't fix it.

When I click on "View configured update policies" under each one it says: "Type: Mobile Device Management", as you can see in the screenshot below. Searched for it and found this on the Microsoft site: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/...4-7e2fccfa2b19

Apparently it's tied to my Office account or something? I'm using some Microsoft apps on my phone with my MS account, if that has something to do with it?

When I follow the instructions on how to turn it off I can't seem to find these Data loss prevention, Device management etc. sections in order to continue...

Any ideas on how to fix it? This is a recent thing.

Hi, as perhaps you know that message merely indicates you have a registry setting equivalent to a group policy that has been changed, or a group policy that has been applied.

This may be something you did by importing a reg file, using the group policy editor, some tweak tool or some program that might have changed a policy.

In your case, to these MS apps. But perhaps they are necessary for the correct functioning of these...

    You can
a: Use the tutorial to reset all group policies to default (although it looks as though you've tried that)
Reset Local Group Policy Editor Settings to Default in Windows 10

    or
b: make it easier to identify these by using the filter feature in the group policy editor

I would suggest you clearly understand the significance of any you think of changing, just in case.

Hi, it looks like your IT department set some policies? Or, you're not the administrator?
