Critical Update Failure for Windows 10 Feature Updates 1809 and 1903.

    Hello there!

Just over a week ago, I brought my current machine. It runs perfectly! Upon tying to play Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare/Warzone, I was told I needed to install the latest Windows 10 Feature Update. Much to my surprise, this failed and I haven't been able to sucessfully install it for about a week now.

    Problem:
I'm currently running Windows 10 Professional 1607. I go about the update process the usual way, but upon reaching this screen - I start to face issues. BOTH versions 1809 and 1903 are failing at this point after the first restart. If it's not this visible blue screen error (DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG), the screen breifly freaks out and then the system reboots. This then loops endlessly until Windows reverts changes and brings me back to 1607.

    What I've Tried So Far:
    • Sfc /scannow - produced no abnormal results.
    • Dskchk on both drives (both in read-only and /f mode) - again reported no problems.
    • Windows Update Trouble Shooter - did bring back four issues. It was only able to fix three of those itself, the fourth being a "Potential Windows Update Database Corruption". I have tried twice to remove all updates and reinstall (as reccomended), only to be faced with the same issue regarding 1809/1903.
    • Used the DISM command. Appeared to do nothing so left it alone.
    • Simply rolling back all updates and starting again didn't seem to fix the issue either.

I'm just confused. The machine runs perfectly, no issues at all until it comes to Windows Update. It just won't do it. I've tried to explain my issue in as much detail as possible, please let me know if there is anymore information I can give to you, I can boot into Windows. Here I've attatched a couple of videos demonstrating the issues I'm facing. I hope these help.

Thank you in advance for your time, I've spent far too many hours on this myself.

    The DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG is bugcheck 1D5.

    BSOD typically block Windows upgrades.
There may be other problems blocking the upgrades.

Run each V2 and DM and upload results directly into this thread:

I haven't pirated any software. This is a brand new PC. Are you referring to the windows installation? I did not install this so it appears my computer guy has given me a non-genuine copy of windows. Could this be part of the issue? To be fair I never checked to see if it was activated.

    It's a pirated / cracked Windows.

The new computer came with a 2018 Windows version/build?

Wow. Thanks for the heads up, guess I'll be forking out even more money then. Is there any indication in my reports of what is being used to bypass the license activation? I'd like to get rid of it.
