Not sure where to put this post - I'll start here. This morning while online suddenly my desktop came up with the following: "restart required" -- I don't know where to look to find what was updated which would require a restart. I checked windows update - nothing this morning. I am not comfortable with this. Malwarebytes did an update yesterday. Any ideas?
Malwarebytes can require a restart, depending on some settings. But you said that was yesterday. Before you click on anything, can you please post a complete pic of exactly what you are seeing, and post it here? That would help. Thanks.

If you havent't already done so, have a look at your Update History as well, including the driver updates section at the bottom. But it could be something else you have installed as mentioned that has received an update and given this unclear prompt.
tomcat - nothing to view. The screen just said, "restart required". So I did - nothing to show now.
dalchina - did check the windows update history - last one 12/11. Did not see the device option. Where is that - not located at bottom of that menu area as far as I could tell. I have not installed anything new - not happy with this.

That did it - here is screen shot. I think it would be nice if Windows gave you a heads up b/f this point - "restart required". Thanks again for your help. Invaluable!!
But that was yesterday, and Security Intelligence Updates don't require a restart. Yes, it was yesterday when it happened - I went back in and took another look - it was for Defender. Seems that would require a restart. Thanks.
